Overall a very good sturdy dog door
We are happy with this dog door and will be ordering the 5th replacement flap. We have 2 large dogs who hit the flap running dozens of times a day to chase squirrels away from the bird feeder. The flaps last about a year with hard use. The overall door is very good, but the handle only opens in one direction since year 2. We’ve had the door 6 years and otherwise is holding up great! Would highly recommend!!!!

Replace a 9 y/o with same part number. Door lightly used by two GSDs. I believe I got my moneys worth. Hope this door has the same durability.

Large door flap
Door is west facing. Gets strong afternoon desert sun. Original flap held up better than most materials.
The one I have is certainly functional, but “boss” says it doesn’t look as nice as it did when new.
I’m completely satisfied tho !

I need to replace the Large flap (the one with 5 screw holes) & the outside plastic strip (into which the flap mounting screws are secured) Does the outside plastic strip come with the Large flap? If not, what is the part# for that piece?
- The Petsafe replacement flap did not fit my older model dog door. My dog door is 25 or more years old. I had to send the replacement back to Petco. My son-in-law found a replacement flap online that fit and installed it for me.

Petsafe Large Replacement Flap - Under ITEM DESCRIPTIONS the measurements are 10.125 IN W / 15.75 IN H. On the photo flap dimension chart the measurements are 10 1/8 W / 16 7/8 H. Which measurements are correct?
- Thank you for asking about this! It is crucial to mention, first, that if you are trying to determine which replacement flap you need, we would recommend doing this by the number of screws that attach the flap or the model number printed on the flap. Measurements can and do change over time due to stretching and warping, and they also can be slightly different when taken by different individuals; for these reasons, we do not recommend selecting a flap size based on measurements. If your current flap attaches with five screws across the top, you would need the 'large' size. With this being said, the large size flap is around 10 1/8" wide, and around 16 7/8" tall. We appreciate you bringing this description difference to our attention, and we'll absolutely be looking into this.

I need to replace the doggy flaps in my door. I do not know the name of the brand I have. My flaps are 4 holed and the measurements on my flaps are 8 1/4 X 12 5/8, also mine is a 3 layer flap, 2 outer weather and 1 black middle. Will yours work on my door

what are the dimensions of the large and xlarge replacement dog door?
- I don't know the extra large but the one I have is the Large & it is 10 & 1/8th X 16 & 7/8th & is number PAC 11-11039. I don't know why they don't list it on the website as it is very important to know. I saw it listed on one of the reviews by someone kind enough to post it in the questions & answers, I believe. It has been a while since I purchsed this.

I have a ten year old dog door that has a flap with an inner flap. Both flaps have magnets that secure their closure.
