Compatible with these PetSafe In-Ground Fence systems: PIG00-14673, PIG00-13661, PIG00-10777, PIG00-10773,PIG00-14582 and PIG00-11007. Not compatible with PetSafe wireless, PetSafe UltraSmart, PetSafe YardMax or Innotek systems. - Great question, Maruku! Regrettably, this collar cannot serve as a training collar. We do not currently carry a collar that can be used as both an in-ground fence and a training collar.

It is important to mention that PetSafe® In-Ground Fence Collars are designed to be used with PetSafe® In-Ground Fence Transmitters and have not been tested with other brands. Therefore, we would not recommend using this collar with another brand's transmitter as we could not guarantee functionality.

I have an old but working PetSafe setup (10+ yrs). Seems to be working but I can't hear the warning sound before the correction so I can't teach my new dogh where the boundaries are. Would the new collars be compatible with my old transmitter?

Can I change out the red collar for something custom on my own without damaging the device?
- This is a great question! You may change the collar strap for one of the same width and thickness with no change to the use of the receiver unit. When you find the strap for your unit you may use the current strap as a template for the holes needed for the contact points. So we are going to use a remote collar to train the puppy to never chew the chainlink fence she doesn’t do it often . A trainer on YouTube Solidk9 training recommended. I think it’s better to have a mild stem correction than broken teeth one day. Also going to use to work on her recall she is 80% reliable everywhere but backyard that’s 10% she comes back. What brands on amazon are good? And how do I condition her to the collar?
Are underground fences a good affordable option for 2 pitbulls? How safe are the shock collars longer-term?
So my puppy chews her fencing of her dog run. A high respected trainer recommended a remote stem collar, as it isn’t SA as she doesn’t care about me when she comes out just wants to sniff and play outside, so what I’m going to do is have someone leave in a car and stay and if she chews the run she gets a stem, the trainer said she trained a few dogs with same issue and fixed within a week -2. I got Esky Dog Shock collar a good brand? Is this mean? I think it’s crueler to let her break her teeth
After speaking with our veterinarian I was able to train my dog not to run up to people or other dogs while off leash by using premium treats outside and less premium treats while indoors. My current issue is shes running into our neighbours backyard (new subdivision, no yard/fences etc.) because they throw food back there. I don’t drive and there’s no dog park nearby. I want her to run and play ball. Do you think it would be a bad idea to get a remote shock collar?

I have two neutered cats who love being outside. We live in a mountainous area with wildlife, so we are trying to keep them inside but they learned how to open doors. We are trying to decide b/w a wireless pet fence in our yard where they wear large-ish shock collars (even though they are smaller for cats) all the time as the company says not to wear for more than 12 hours or to just put cat trackers on them and find them every night. Which is safer?
Hey, I’m tired of seeing my dogs on chains and I can’t really put them in the house (no room). I was thinking about getting shock collars & underground fence for all of them. I have two boys and girl. The only thing I’m worried about is the two boys fighting. When they were puppies they fought a lot that’s why I separated them. Do you think since they’re older and neutered they’ll be less likely to fight? They’re 2.5 yrs old. I want to keep all of them together without them killing each other.

I posted a question about shock collars. I have tried to off leash train him “the postive only route” it’s is not cruel look up Off leash canine and Solidk9. They can train huskies off leash and other dogs with this tool. Doesn’t hurt anymore than tens unit. Used on myself as Solidk9 training told me to do didn’t hurt a bit. E collars have changed in the years you might of saw them. He would of never been trusted off leash now can enjoy full off leash life safely. He is very happy to have that.
