The Gentle Leader Headcollar is a perfect no-pull solution to help improve leash manners and the bond between you and your dog. Designed by a veterinary behaviorist, the Gentle Leader Headcollar is loved and trusted by vets and pet parents and has helped improve 5 million walks around the world. This training tool is best for dogs who pull because it interrupts your dog's natural instinct to pull against pressure. The headcollar loops around your dog's nose, so when he pulls, it gently moves his head toward you so he can refocus his attention on you and away from other distractions. Although this training tool rests on your dog's snout, it doesn't work like a muzzle. Your best friend still has the freedom to eat a treat, drink water and catch a tennis ball at the dog park. The quickest way to help your dog feel comfortable wearing his new headcollar is to let him wear it without a leash attached while he does all his favorite activities.

How Does a Gentle Leader Work? The Gentle Leader Headcollar is a no-pull solution to help improve your dog's leash manners for happier walks together. When your dog pulls, the Gentle Leader Headcollar gently puts pressure on his nose to move his head and redirect his attention back toward you. By redirecting a dog's attention toward you, your dog's natural urge to pull against the pressure is disrupted. This allows you to have control during the walk while also communicating to your dog that you've got his back and everything is okay. How to Use the Gentle Leader Use the Gentle Leader Headcollar on walks with your best friend. We do not recommend using the headcollar for jogging, running, bike attachments or couplers. Make sure that you never jerk or yank on the leash when it's connected to your dog's headcollar.

Jenny tends to pull when walking on a leash. Any good recommendations for a good harness? Thank you.
PULLING: Off-leash, she walks alongside me. Outside, she wears a comfortable harness(pictured). •I stop and use sit command. If I verbally praise her, she jumps right back up and back to pulling. She doesn’t do treats. If I don’t praise her, she’ll stay until I begin to walk again and she’s back to pulling (repeating steps during entire walk). •Gentle leader. She will not walk and acts too ashamed.
My cavapoo pulls on her lead when walking. It’s like the walk is a race to get through. As a puppy she practically took the entire walk on her hind legs like a performing bear. Having gone to behaviour classes with little change, I bought the halti collar which goes over her nose. Although it helps with the pulling, she hates it and spends the walk trying to get it off by either rubbing her face in the grass or jumping up and attacking it with her front paws.
I've been working with a trainer to make it easier to walk my dog since it became very difficult with him trying to bark aggressively to any dog he sees. He'll pull the leash a lot to try to get there and it's quite a scene. We've tried no pull harnesses, prong collars and there's no use. Trainer mentioned acquiring a halti or gentle lead to help me ease him. He was bitten by other dog when he was a puppy and that's why he's so anxious. It only happens when walking. Is this leash a goodsuggestion?
So we are going to use a remote collar to train the puppy to never chew the chainlink fence she doesn’t do it often . A trainer on YouTube Solidk9 training recommended. I think it’s better to have a mild stem correction than broken teeth one day. Also going to use to work on her recall she is 80% reliable everywhere but backyard that’s 10% she comes back. What brands on amazon are good? And how do I condition her to the collar?
Going to use a easy walk harness. She pulls on way into dog park and in new situations (off and on pulling not too horrible) would it teach her no pulling ever or just with it on? I read it’s on of the tools that are actually helpful in loose leash walking. I already taught her the leash needs to be loose to go forward and she listens fairly well.
What harness is the best and most comfortable for my dog. It would also have to work with a tie out stake. The one i have she just pulls right out of it. I think it might be a little big but the next size down is to small. It is the vest kind. Maybe thats the problem. Could you help me please. I would appreciate it. Thanks so much.
Our puppy does not understand the leash and when we hook it to her collar she flips around and acts crazy. We want her to get used to it but she is going to hurt herself. We want to get her a harness but what is the best type of harness for a puppy? Some have soft material versus some made out of thinner collar materials. Which is better?
I just purchased the no pull harness for my puppy. How Long should I be using it for? Is there a point when I can transition to a regular harness?
Zurrick pulls a little when walking. Not hard, but she likes to keep a small amount of constant tension. I am not sure she pulls hard enough that a head leader would disturb her. I have tried stopping when she pulls but I taught her to sit when I stop & she's very good at that so she's not learning to ease up on the leash, just sit, which inadvertently loosens the tension. I want her to walk without tension. Sometimes she does this very well, but other times not at all. How can I teach her?
I have a 9 month old rough collie and when we go for a walk he loves to jump up on people and children. Sometimes he will try to come out of his collar or either his harness. I was wondering if you would recommend for me to get a slip leash or head halter?
We adore our rescue dog and I love to take him on walks but although he’s great with people, he’s very unpredictable with other dogs and he’s extremely prey driven. So much that my 13 year old can’t cntril him if he sees a cat or bunny or something. What do you recommend as far as a harness or collar that will help control his pulling and lunging so that we can enjoy our walks with him more? He’s about 60 lbs, by the way.
