PetSafe Pawz Away Indoor Pet Barrier with Adjustable Range
Description
Sometimes chewing shoelaces and sneaking food from the trash can is just too tempting for your best friend to resist! PetSafe Pawz Away Indoor Pet Barrier is here to help you teach your pet which spots in your home are off-limits. This training tool is easy to use, simply place the pet barrier in the spot you'd like your best friend to avoid and place the adjustable receiver collar around your pet's neck. When your pet enters the pet-free zone, they will first hear a series of beeps from the receiver collar. If they do not leave the area, they will then feel a safe yet startling static correction. With a little time and practice, your pet will soon learn the areas of the home they need to avoid. The barrier transmitter covers up to 12 feet across or 6 feet radius. Your pet deserves the best. Trust PetSafe to help keep your pet healthy, safe and happy.

Which system would you get for a garage? Would you have to get two devices for a single stall garage?

We offer a variety of avoidance options and would be happy to work with you to determine the best fit for your situation. Please reach out to our Customer Care Team at 1-800-732-2677 for assistance.

I am trying to find something that would keep my cat from running out the door every time I come & go. I am wondering if I put the receiver next to the door, would it vibrate/shock when he got near the door (which would hopefully keep him from escaping)?
- Great question! Yes, you can absolutely use our Pawz Away Pet Barrier to help train your kitty not to charge the door. It will provide a tone upon approaching the barrier followed by the static stimulation should your kitty progress closer to the door.

Is this compatible with your collars for the outside invisible barrier? We live the outdoor system but these pups just won’t stay off the counters in the kitchen. Two of those collars on at once seems too much.
- Unfortunately, they are different systems. I combined both onto one collar for a 9 pound cat and that solved the counter surfing while still keeping her in the yard.

My dog gets in the kitty litter boxes, I would need two additional devices (for 3 litter boxes), is it possible to purchased additional ones? He’s a border collie and very sensitive to sound.
- Absolutely! The additional barriers are listed as SKU# ZND-1000.

I have two cats that I am trying to keep of myself kitchen counters. If I buy two collars and two barriers, will each collar sync with both barriers?
- Yes. You can set the boundary frequencies to match for the collars (not complicated and easy after first time) . Make sure to test the distancing between the barriers - it's a radius perimeter

I have a covered porch but sometimes rain blows under it. Can I place this device in a plastic box and it still work? Is it heat/cold sensitive?
- I tried putting it in a plastic bag and it work okay. I'd just get the outdoor one that's shaped as a rock instead.

My cat is only 6 months and 5 1/2 lbs. I was considering buying this to keep her from using our dog door. I’m concerned it won’t fit her. How small does this collar get?
- Thank you for your great question, Sierra! This collar is designed to fit pets 5 pounds and up with neck sizes of at least 6 inches around.

Will this keep my cat from going through doggie door?
- Thank you for your great question, Joe. With some training, the Pawz Away Barrier can absolutely be a good solution to teach your cat to keep away from the pet door.

Will this work for my 8 lb cat? She keeps pooping on our leather sofa.
- It may work. It depends on the length of the sofa, and where you put the disc. It works to keep our 9 pound cat from scratching a new chair, but that is smaller than a couch. If you have to, you could use two of the discs, one under each of the end cushions.
