Should I purchase a water fountain for my dog? She does drink on her own several times a day. But that sounds like a good idea. Does it really encourage them to drink more water? Is it easy to clean? I currently like to wash my dogs water bowl daily with warm water and soap. Would this be doable with a water fountain? thanks!
Rosie is a 4 1/2 year old healthy cat who now won’t drink water. 3 weeks ago yearly vet visit she’s great! Now she’s lost ~ 1/2 pound. Acts fine, no evidence of disease or illness except minor dehydration. SubQ fluid, Covenia, DEXA given by vet yesterday as she’s had UTI in past. Have cat water fountain she loves - no interest now. Eats dry urinary + calm Royal Canin and 1 spoon pumpkin per day. Will not eat moist. Yesterday and today she licked liquid of small can of food. WORRIED!
Hey guys! My poor cat (9 year old American shorthair) recently was adopted from another family, just before I moved. So, she's moved three times in the last few months. She is very stressed, and since the most recent move, she hasn't been drinking water from her bowl. I have tried 3 different "kinds" of water and she's not interested. I've been feeding her 100% wet food, and she seems otherwise fine and happy (minus stress), but I'm wondering if I should worry. It's been 5 days since the move.
I've recently started spraying my cat with water because he uncontrollably tries to drink out of the fish bowl and mess with the fish as well as tear leaves off house plants. Bailey (my dog) runs to a different room when she sees the spray bottle (bailey was abused and set on fire as a puppy) how can I help her overcome her fear of spray bottles?
Hi I’m concerned because we change my dog Siena ( cavalier King Charles) food to “foodjustfordogs” for almost 2 months and i’ve Noticed she is barely drinking any water the whole day. Her bowl is sometimes not even touch somedays and I’m concerned if this is normal she Is not looking sick but I’m concerned however Any recommendations? Regards Narda Laverde
My pet is vomiting food
My cat completely stopped eating wet food. She went from eating a whole can, to half a can, to only eating the gravy, to not touching it at all. She eats plenty of dry food which I have available for her all throughout the day. I’ve tried offering different types of wet food from the priciest to the cheapest but she’s picky and doesn’t like any of them by far. I’m thinking about buying her a fountain but still want her to eat wet food. What should I do?
My kitty goes to the water dish but does not drink, about 2-3 days, he is walking around meowing alot more than usual. Any thoughts of what could be wrong
Is it normal that she drinks alot of water she mainly eats dry food I try to make her eat wet food but she doesnt like it I thought of buying her the food toppers would that be enough protien in the food toppers and if she eats dry food too
Our 3 year old cat is refusing to drink but will eat. She goes up to the faucet and asks for it to be turned on, moves toward it but then won't drink once you do. She had distemper a couple months ago but had fully recovered and gained back all of her weight. We re recently brought in two new kittens that were quarantined for two weeks. They had a little sneeze but that's it. Strong otherwise.
Hello, Since Skye started to drink from a water fountain she's eating and drinking more so she pees and poops more. About twice a day her pee clumps are bigger than the ones of the rest of the day, I noticed early in the morning when I clean the litter box after night use and after nap time. She's a healthy kitten, eats dry & wet food (good quality) she doesn't show any signs of eilness. is this normal? Thank you for your help
I have an older cat 15 years old female and drinking less than normal water that I change daily and constipated and have switched to dry food with no grains and one small can of wet per day. Looking for constipation solution when more water not an option.
