The receiver works great, but I'm going to have to get a new collar this one keeps loosening. Seems to be to sulky.

We had one of these for our last dog and it worked fine. That dog died and after a couple years decided to get a new one. I completely redid the fence and ordered another collar. Doesn’t work on this dog at all. I’ve tried every setting.

so far it works good. I like the smaller design, not a huge difference in size, but enough.

We have two of these now and the batteries just fall out!

Finally a small receiver for my fox terrier. Much more comfortable

We bought 2 of the little dog collars in between October and December of 2020. It is now July 2021. One of the collars seems to be working fine, the other is always getting water and/or condensation in the batter component. We have opened it up and let it air dry several times and now it just doesn't seem to work at all. I will agree with others that I've used a PetSafe in-ground collar for over 11 years and these new collars are not the quality that they were before. As a matter of fact, my 11 year old Beagle still has her original one and it works great. Her battery also seems to last longer. The new collars go through batteries waaay to quickly. I would still recommend this product to friends b/c I do feel that you can teach your dog to learn the boundaries with this. Our littles learned the boundary and even when the collar on the one isn't working, they will stay in the yard. At least until we can get new batteries. We switch collars on the two littles so they don't know when they will get buzzed with the working collar.

Our original hard plastic collar lasted for maybe 6 years. The new version is flimsy cloth and pretty much made to fall apart after a year. I’ve replaced the prongs a few times but now our collar can no longer be repaired and it’s less than two years old.

It is definitely the right fit for my little guy Gus, but it does not hold up, certainly not for what this collar costs. The battery use is an issue. And yes, I can turn the battery to the off position every time I bring him in, but honestly, that isn't a great solution. The onus is put on us rather than the design of the collar being efficient and effective. This collar is now completely inoperable after a couple of years, and while some may consider that good mileage for such a product, I think when you factor in the battery cost it doesn't get anywhere near a value. Additionally, I got to witness this collar not functioning in action as Gus ran through the electric fence line and into the steeet as a car was passing. Thankfully he was not hit. It had a new battery and the light indicated function only 1 week prior. So yeah. All being said, no issues with the fence we installed or the collar for full-sized dogs on our other boy, so I guess that is something to note.
