In a previous question it says a power adapter can be used but, if the power goes out, the clock has to be reset. My question is: Can the batteries and power adapter be used at the same time to prevent the clock and settings from being lost?
- Yes, when I pulled out the adapter plug the battery charge indicator shows up so you know there’s a backup energy source. As long as you have good batteries installed your settings should stay even with a temporary power outage.

- yes, there is an adapter. The only downside to the adapter is if the power blinks or goes out,then the clock has to be reset.

Can this be programmed to dispense food over 4 days?
- That's a great question. Once a feeding times are set, this will dispense food at that time each day. As an example, you could set feedings for 8 am and 5 pm. The Healthy Pet Simply Feed would then dispense both of these two meals, each day, until the food ran out. You can certainly feed over the course of 4 days, but cannot set meals separately for each day.

I feed them in separate bowls on each side of the fireplace. They are grazers eat some leave etc. I put morning portion in their bowl and then later if empty evenings. I’d like to them to eat all their dry food in two meals and finish in a timely manner. How to train them to do this without making them get too skinny? And how many cups should I feed them? I have an automatic pet feeder that has 2 containers. One opens at 7am and the other at 7pm. I just realized that they both opened at 7am and Luna ate pretty much all the food for the day (1/2 cup).
