Dogs are good at pulling, and if you're training a sled dog team, then you're grateful for that natural ability. how big is the small one?will it fit a boarder collie?
- Thank you for asking about this! The small size fits neck sizes of 7-9", while the medium size fits neck sizes 9-14". We would recommend measuring your border collie around their neck at the highest point, directly behind the ears, then matching this measurement to the size where that measurement falls. Can it be used for bulldogs
- This is a great question, Misti! Though some customers have successfully used this head collar with bulldogs, individuals with very short muzzles typically do best with our Easy Walk® harness.

Will it work for my Beauceron? He's very powerful and strong, so I don't know if it'll rip if he tries to open his mouth.
- It doesn't hold the mouth closed. Dog is still able to eat, drink, and bark whilst wearing it. I have an 80ish lb chow mix and I've used it on him since he was almost 2yrs old and he'll be 10yrs this year. He's always been headstrong and it's the only way i walk him. It just puts gentle pressure the top of his nose and he corrects himself. I pretty much have walked with a very loose leash

Will the small gentle leader head collar fit a small 7 lb. Chihuahua mix? He has a long snout like a min pin not your regular Chih. Thanks

Have herd that the plastic clip under the chin breaks easily. And that it does not hold up. up. I have a 30 lb Border collie Pit bull cross. He pull very hard all the time. .Is this true.?

I have a 130lb German shepherd, 2 years old & VERY difficult to control on walks. I'm trying & he's getting better together with my 50lb rescue, but still pulls HARD towards dogs & people. Will this stop him from pulling & trying to control ME on walks?
- I have a 90lb pitbull that also pulls hard towards others. I feel like the gentle leader helps me control him better because it controls the head, instead of the full weight of the dog if you use a regular collar leash or harness. I grab the leash closer to the leader and pull down when someone is coming close and it helps keep him from lunging. I hope this helps.

Would this fit a 7 -10lb dog?
- I think the size small would work because the head strap is adjustable. My 2 guys are 15-17 lbs. and I believe I bought smalls for them.

Would this type of muzzle help with a dog/puppy that wants to eat every rock on our walks?
- I believe it would because the pet parent has control of the lead, hence control of the dog. It fits over the nose and snaps in place at the back of the neck. With very little tugging or effort, you literally guide the dog’s head by its nose.

At what age of the dog/puppy is it recommended?
- I started this with puppies as young as 4 months....and older dogs (age 9). It works really well, even if they don’t like it!

So we are going to use a remote collar to train the puppy to never chew the chainlink fence she doesn’t do it often . A trainer on YouTube Solidk9 training recommended. I think it’s better to have a mild stem correction than broken teeth one day. Also going to use to work on her recall she is 80% reliable everywhere but backyard that’s 10% she comes back. What brands on amazon are good? And how do I condition her to the collar?

My pup heels really good on the walks. Whenever she sees a dog, person, car, anything that moves, she goes crazy, she doesn't care that her collar is choking her when she pulls with all her strength, she even barks like madman. Yes she is trained, no snack distraction doesn't help. She forgets about me completely at that point. I know she's young and full of excitement but I'm quite a small person and it's really hard to hold her. Would front clip harness help to hold her? Can't afford trainer.
I've been working with a trainer to make it easier to walk my dog since it became very difficult with him trying to bark aggressively to any dog he sees. He'll pull the leash a lot to try to get there and it's quite a scene.We've tried no pull harnesses, prong collars and there's no use. Trainer mentioned acquiring a halti or gentle lead to help me ease him. He was bitten by other dog when he was a puppy and that's why he's so anxious.It only happens when walking. PULLING: Off-leash, she walks alongside me. Outside, she wears a comfortable harness(pictured). •I stop and use sit command. If I verbally praise her, she jumps right back up and back to pulling. She doesn’t do treats. If I don’t praise her, she’ll stay until I begin to walk again and she’s back to pulling (repeating steps during entire walk). •Gentle leader. We adore our rescue dog and I love to take him on walks but although he’s great with people, he’s very unpredictable with other dogs and he’s extremely prey driven. So much that my 13 year old can’t cntril him if he sees a cat or bunny or something. What do you recommend as far as a harness or collar that will help control his pulling and lunging so that we can enjoy our walks with him more? He’s about 60 lbs, by the way.
My 4 month old puppy has a really thin soft collar around her neck and she still shuts down when wearing it. Basically she won't even move and just stares. Is there a good method to help her forget the collar?(similar picture attached). When i remove the collar she goes back to playing. My mom has a black lab mix who is an adult male and when he is walked leash with gental leader on he pulls and tries to get leader off as well. And he doesn't do well on walks he misbehaves by pulling too much. Any advice on how to train dog to walk better on leash and not misbehave on walks.
