[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] PetSafe 2 gallon fountain is a nice addition to my pet supplies. My cat loves it and enjoys drinking out of it. One of the best cat fountains I have tried. The durability is good, but it's plastic. The noise level is not loud and it is easy to clean. I have purchased other fountains that have too many parts which made it difficult to clean. This PetSafe fountain has less parts which makes it less of a hassle to clean. The water capacity is enough for one or two cats, but any more than that you'll need another fountain.

Will have to replace this, sorry I bought so many filers for it. It is noisy, but that was not an issue as it is a steady noise and it worked. But then the filters started leaking and there is charcoal in the water very fast after cleaning. Maybe it is this box of filers is defective?? I just changed it yesterday and it is full of charcoal again. So this water is not "clean" I understand that it may not be harmful but it is just too much of it and when I change the filter there is a hole in the bottom about the size of a nickel each time. And it gets noisier as the days pass. I bought this in April of 2024 and it is louder than ever. . Will try purchasing another pack of filters and see how it goes.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Though it is crucial to mention that a bit of charcoal residue is normal and harmless, in most cases excessive residue can be prevented by thoroughly rinsing the filters under cool water until they run clear before placing them in the fountain. Great buy but super loud after a few days running

We’ve always used petsafe fountains for our animals! Recently bought this one and after a few days of cleaning it… the water stops flowing on the plastic nub, hits just behind it, and becomes super loud! I clean it again and everything is fine and then a few days later it gets loud again! It’s as if you all should make it a slide where the water hits and flows into the bowl helping cancel the sound! Is there a way to prevent this? I almost regret getting this upgrade and kept the old model. The only thing with that is the old was a PITA to clean out! This is easier.

The water has bubbles in it. Not just a few temporary ones that you would get from air bubbles with running water, but soapy looking water. Yes, I change the water daily. Was I supposed to soak the filters first or is there something wrong with it?

    Thank you for this question! Bubbles may occur as saliva builds up in the water. To avoid this, we would recommend frequently replenishing the water and thoroughly cleaning the fountain.

Does this keep the water cold? If not, would placing an ice cube in the bowl damage it? My cat has a thing for ice cold water

    It does not have any cooling mechanism. I tried an ice cube in the main bowl area and it seemed to do fine.

Can it be used with an outdoor wall outlet?
