This harness is awesome! Each of our 3 Goldens have been wearing this harness from babies. The oldest boy is 7yr., middle boy is 6 yr., youngest boy is 2 yrs.! My Goldens are the best service & therapy dogs and wear this harness proudly!

I'm not sure why this works...it just does. When I measured my dog he was right on the edge between two sizes, so I ordered the next size up. It was too big in the front, but I used it anyways and it still helped a lot. Because he is still a puppy, I decided to keep the larger harness and to also order the next size down. That arrived last night, fits snuggly and well. Afterwards we went out and had a near perfect walk! He stays right at my side in a heel position. Now we did not run into any other dogs on this walk, so I'm sure there is still work to be done, but there is something about having the lead tie on to his front (chest) that makes him walk much, much better.

I thought that the harness was great. It definitely stopped my lab from pulling but I noticed when we got home that he had a really bad irritation on his side from where the buckle was. I guess it was rubbing against his skin every time he tried to pull and caused a bloody irritation so we will now need to let that heal before trying again

I use this harness on my very active Pit Bull mix. I have tried many alternative harnesses but this one is the only one where I have been able to completely control my dog! He can be quite reactive when he sees other dogs, but it isn't much of an issue when he has this harness on. The surcingle on the front of the chest where you connect the leash to the harness allows you to pull the dog back towards you completely instead of just pulling on the dog, which usually ends up in the dog pulling you forward. This allows my dog to snap out of his reactive mode and focus on something different. There is a distinct difference in the level of control I have from when this harness is on him and when I have the leash just attached to his collar. I have been using this harness on my dog for over three years now and it has held up great, and I know I will be able to get a few more years out of it! Using this harness does take a little bit of getting used to. Having the leash in the front of the chest can feel a little awkward at first, but once you use it more it becomes second nature and is absolutely worth it. I have the medium-large size for my 55-pound Pit Bull mix and it fits him well, with room to increase or decrease the size. If you have a dog that likes to tug while being walked, this harness is for you!

This is the second of these harnesses we have bought. My daughter says it started fraying and then just split. I would like to think we got a defective one. The first one was great.

One of my two large dogs has a bad habit of pulling during walks, especially when there are squirrels out and about. This makes is very difficult for my wife (or me) to walk both dogs at the same time by ourselves. I was skeptical that this harness would make a significant difference, but for the price it was worth a shot. I don't know what it is, but when I put the harness on my dog he immediately acts different and stops pulling every seconds on walks. At first I thought it might just be because he was uncomfortable with the additional restraint, but we have been using it for three weeks now and it has clearly made a difference without making him appear to be uncomfortable. I would buy this product again or recommend it to anyone with a dog that pulls on walks.

We have a medium sized (45 lb) lab mix who loves to pull and when walked with this harness she was easily controlled and stopped pulling within minutes of being trained on this. The instructions to put it on and for use are very easy to read and come with photo examples of how to put on and how to walk. Everything you need to know on how to put on and train your dog are on the 1 page simple user guide. I love this harness this enabled my wife to be able to walk the dog without fear of her pulling her and risking a fall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 38 lb mixed breed dog. I ordered the medium and it was true to size. It took about 15 to 20 minutes of reading the instructions and manipulating the straps to achieve an appropriate fit for my dog. It is critical that it be snug but not overly tight. We have used it now for 2 weeks and it has been extremely useful. Because you lead the dog from the front, it automatically put my dog into a heel position. It took her just one walk to discover that the harness was only uncomfortable if she was out of position. My dog is fear aggressive at times and this harness has been very helpful with that. It gives me greater control over her and I can get her attention easier and calm her much quicker now. My dog has no hesitation with harness. When I take it out, she gets excited and runs to the door waiting for me to put it on her. I can wholeheartedly recommend this product.
