[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always thought training collars were an awful choice for pet owners so I was super excited to try this one and have to stay I was very impressed my dog immediately reacted to the noises and it was able to control her barking right from the start and after using for a month she has been able to learn how to better control herself.

Dogs still bark

I'm not convinced it does anything more than give me a fake sense of control. The dogs only kinda notice and quickly resumes barking. At least the flashlight is useful and the strobe function could be useful in running away from an aggressor. I am tempted to return it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We're sorry to hear your dogs are not consistently responding to this remote trainer! As each dog is an individual, they do all respond differently to different types of correction. Additionally, it is crucial to mention we do not recommend use of remote trainers to attempt to address obsessive barking; for those situations, we would recommend a bark collar. So that we can understand your specific situation and see why your dogs may not be responding and if a different type of correction may be a better fit for their personalities, please reach out to us! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, my dog did not seem to respond to this so I don’t feel that I can give a fair review. May work great for others but didn’t work for us!

Gets my dogs’ attention!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two quite yippy dogs. Since receiving this, I’ve been using it a lot and definitely think that it has made at least somewhat of a difference. I like the different frequency options. It definitely gets the dogs’ attention and they do come when I use it. The flashlight is a nice feature, but you cannot use it without also making the noise and I wish you could. It’s also worth nothing that we’ve had and been using this for quite a bit and haven’t had to change the battery at all. Overall, I would recommend!

So convenient with a built in flashlight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I liked how compact the product was, it’s not too bulky and easily something that I can carry on my walks with my dog. I like how it comes with a flashlight which is convenient when we go out on later walks and it gets a little dark. My dog is fairly young and still needs to be corrected at times so this device was very helpful. At first when I would turn it on she was just very curious, she wouldn’t listen at first but then over time she would respond more to it. It did help with her barking for everything and also when I didn’t want her to jump on the sofa or my bed when I would have her inside. I would say that it did correct her behavior a bit, and I feel with more time using it I would be more successful at getting her to listen to me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trainer worked wonders on my dachshund. She sat when I told her too and if she barked I used the noise option and she stopped immediately. I would recommend for people not wanting to use a collar to train.

Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Will this device stop the biting and chewing

 1. Thank you for this question! As with any other form of remote trainer, this remote trainer is recommended as a training tool to help enforce commands your dog already knows well but may be disregarding in certain situations. If your puppy is over 6 months old and already has a very solid "leave it" command or similar command to cease puppy nipping and chewing, this could be a helpful tool for you. If they are younger than 6 months and/or do not yet know a command to stop/redirect those behaviors, this would not be the right fit.

Will this help with biting and scratching?

 1. We appreciate you asking about this! Just as with all forms of remote trainer, these units are intended for use as a training tool to help provide enforcement for commands your dog already knows well but may not always respond to in certain situations. If your puppy is at least 6 months old and knows a very solid "leave it", "off", or similar command to stop/redirect biting and scratching, this may be a helpful tool for their training. If your puppy is younger than 6 months and/or does not yet know a command to stop or redirect biting and scratching, this would not be the right solution.

Does this device work for stopping a dog who jumps on people

 1. This is a great question! It's definitely possible this trainer could be helpful for this. Just as with any form of remote trainer, this tool helps with reinforcing and strengthening commands your dog already knows well but may be struggling with in certain situations. If your dog already has a solid "off" command that they know, this trainer could be used to redirect their attention and remind them of their training at times when they are disregarding the command or may be distracted, etc.
