Have a spunky new rescue chihuahua mix and she is skittish. So much so she will resist any efforts to trim her nails. We have 4 dogs so I have trimmed nails hundreds of times--but with Ricki Ricardo, no luck. I sit on the floor and flip them over and cradle them between my legs. My wife distracts them with peanut butter on a spoon. Besides going to a groomer or vet, any ideas? I thought maybe a groomer table might help. Are there premium nail cutters of higher quality than store bought?
Our puppy is 9.5 weeks old , got him a week and a half ago . He is energetic . We put him on a harness and a leash . He’s just sits down and doesn’t want to move . We even tried to entice him with treats ,he barely goes for the treat , he just comes and sits on our lap not wanting to move , once we take off harness and leash , he is back to his playing self , trying for 3 days now , any tips . We let him be on Harness and leash without us controlling it , but he sits still or sleeps . Any tips ?

I'm terribly afraid that Kazuya has hip dysplasia. In the last week, he has gotten progressively worse. He will only take 2 steps and sit sideways. Does anyone recommend a rear harness with handle for support? Also, which supplements are the most effective? I'm currently giving him Cosequin and another one called Infinite Pet Supplement. I am also monitoring his weight. Please help. I cannot have kids and my boys are my life. His brother is healthy.
My 10 pound Chi-Terrier mix has gone hoarse from barking too much. Is there something I can give him to soothe this? He will be 9 on Aug 24, and I do not want to take him to have surgery. I was gone away for 4 days, and had someone come to the house to feed/potty him. He apparently barked at her all weekend long.

Kobe is fine all day and the past couple of nights he is staying in this one spot, backside twitching, and staring at nothing. He has Ben licking the carpet and still nibbling but a little louder. He whimpers or does his little growl for us to pay attention. What could it be? Drinking a little more water but not tons eating ok. I think a softer version of his food I will try. When I place my dogs right elbow joint into extension she cry’s and limps when walking. Her junction between the tibia and the femur seem ok, just the elbow joint gives her pain. What should we do? Do we go to a 24 hour vet or wait till tomorrow.
