My dog had iv sedation today for a teeth cleaning, skin tag removal and X-ray for his leg that was bugging him. All is well - thank God- but he is panting and restless since we got home. How do I get him to relax?
What type of bed would you suggest for my miniature dachshund? She is 3 1/2 months old. She gets cold easily & sleeps w/ me in my bed. She always loves cuddling with me whever I am if on the couch resting, etc. I always have a small blanket & she loves for me to cover her up totally.. She crawls under it & goes to sleep!

My pup was diagnosed with IVDD 2 days ago. 50% chance of walking again. She hasnt wanted to eat and shes taking meds. She was moving nonstop last night whcih led me to laying her down but she resisted. I dont want to hurt her. Wht poition should she be layed down in. She pulls back her neck as much as possible. Gave her melatonin as well. What to feed? Can i shower her? Should the surface in the crate be flat? Or have her bed? Lost feeling of bith hinde legs. Caprofen 25mg & neurontin 100mg meds
My dogs face looks swollen. I gave her benedryl, one 25 mg pink pill about 2 hours ago. The pictures of her laying down is how she looks now and the other is how she looked before. Her stomach feels a little warm to the touch at this time but after she took the meds she was a bit playful and energetic. Now she’s just sleeping. I can’t really tell if the swelling went down. What to do?
My dog has a mast cell tumor on the back of his leg that is being treated (palliative care) with chemo therapy, prednisone and benadryl. However, after those medications, his leg is still so swollen and he seems like he is in pain/very lethargic. His groin is also quite bruised. Can I apply a cold or hot compress for the swelling? Is there anything else I can do?
What pain medicine and/or supplements can Watson take given his low body weight of 3.3 pds at 7 months? He's been rather sick, and the doctor noted his back leg muscles had begun to atrophy. He's trying to move, but it's obvious he's in a lot of discomfort. Could an orthopedic bed help at all as well? I'm fighting alongside him in his recovery.

Hello, my dog won’t sit/lay down for longer than 2 minutes. Recently was diagnosed with Arthritis (2 months ago) but was told it wasn’t severe enough yet to require surgery/meds. He’s been acting weird the last couple of hours, its Easter Sunday so vets are closed so is there any medicine we can buy at the store to ease his pain so he can sleep until we can see our vet tomorrow. I recently purchased a memory foam mattress topper that is CertiPUR-US certified. This means that it contains VOC’s that are less than 0.5 parts per million which is the safe range for humans. However, I am wondering if this is also a safe range for dogs as my dog sleeps on my bed each night. The company claims that they also do not use dangerous chemicals in their foam and I know that some dog beds are regulated by CertiPUR-US as well. I want to be sure that this memory foam will not harm Timo.
My 70lb, 10 year old dog just woke from a nap limping. there was no fall early that i saw witnessed. I'm suspecting arthritis or cramp. What relief can i give him til i can get to my vet tomorrow?
