How much unflavored pedialyte would you give a 6lb senior cat to help prevent dehydration from diarrhea due transitioning to a new food? Can it be given directly with a feeding syringe or should it be diluted in water and if so how much dilution? Thank you.
My toy poodle has been vomiting for a day and no appetite to eat but drinks. Her vomit is clear fluid with bubbles on the middle like saliva. Pls help. Local vet gave her antibiotic and hyradrating salt.
Rosie is a 4 1/2 year old healthy cat who now won’t drink water. 3 weeks ago yearly vet visit she’s great! Now she’s lost ~ 1/2 pound. Acts fine, no evidence of disease or illness except minor dehydration. SubQ fluid, Covenia, DEXA given by vet yesterday as she’s had UTI in past. Have cat water fountain she loves - no interest now. Eats dry urinary + calm Royal Canin and 1 spoon pumpkin per day. Will not eat moist. Yesterday and today she licked liquid of small can of food. WORRIED!
How long can i keep my puppies wet food in refrigerator before throwing it out. I have it in a Tupperware container
What would be the best wet dog food for her weighing 3.3 lbs. 4 years and has Periodontal desease? And can I purchase at Petco or Petsmart? Thank you
Vet has me giving my dog artificial tears solution polyvinyl alcohol 1.4%. It looks like the brand has discontinued it or has a shortage. What should I look for when deciding on a new artificial tear? I can’t find one with the polyvinyl alcohol. (Also taking tacrolite)
I gave my dog Pedialyte yesterday for dehydration. He is doing much better today. But he is still a little groggy. Is it ok to give him more today and if so how much? Thank you everyone for all your help.
I have an older cat 15 years old female and drinking less than normal water that I change daily and constipated and have switched to dry food with no grains and one small can of wet per day. Looking for constipation solution when more water not an option.
My dog is a min pin 20 pounds She ate 1 2 grapes I gave her 2 tsp within 15 min intervals of hydrogen peroxide. 3%.
I am fostering a sick very small kitten about 3 weeks old. She is dehydrated and not eating a ton. She is on antibiotics doxycycline but I think the dehydration is making her congestion worse. What I'd like to know is is it safe for me to orally give her pedialyte yo help replace her electrolytes? If so, how much and how often is it safe to give? She weighs 7.2 oz
6rs, 10lb chihuahua. Diarrhea for 5 days, giving 1/2 pedialite mixed with water, obstained food for 24 hrs, then boiled chicken and white rice only. I believe it is an adverse reaction to bravecto. He is eating, drinking and actively going out to poddy
My dog keeps eating to fast. She is only 3.5 pounds, but she was choking so I made her drink some water out of a bottle. But how can I make her stop choking and eat slower??
