Outstanding Addition for My free Range Needs
Having two always hungry cats, I found myself a slave to their free range food dishes. On some days I was refilling them twice a day, this gets very old very quickly. Decided that a large free flowing feeder was needed and searched on Petco.com. Immediately I was drawn to this gravity feeder from Petmate.
The advantages are simple yet seemed perfectly designed to meet my needs. Easy to assemble, easy to clean, easy to fill and forget for a couple of weeks! The wide mouthed storage container allows the bowl to be full of dry food and refills the bowl without my constant attention. A removable cover on the top, allows for quick refills and securely fastens to keep prying little paws from prying it open (they have tried lol) overall an wonderful addition to my pet care needs. Reasonably priced, well made and after a short distancing to the 'new' addition to their space, it is now accepted and in constant use. Both cats can eat side by side and I do not have to constantly refill messy dishes. The fur babies are happy and so is daddy!

Disappointing, doesn't dispense food.
Bought this on Monday, 9/24/24. Already I have had to go out and shake it as the food will not dispense. Very disappointed, would return it but where I bought it is an hour and a half away!

Petco, you are forewarned!
Please have Petco's Legal Department read this and take notice! If this automatic Pet Feeder does not meet the first Law of Merchantability, meaning that it is not fit for intended purposes, which is borne out repeatedly by all the negative reviews, Petco can be held criminally negligent by continuing to market this product. Failure to heed this warning will result in a National Class Action Lawsuit on behalf of all clients who lost a cherished pet due to this defective product.

DO NOT BUY FOR MULTIPLE DAYS AWAY
DO NOT BUY FOR MULTIPLE DAYS AWAY. As others have mentioned food gets clogged and does not come down on its own without shaking it. I found this out when I came home from a four day trip and bowls were completely empty and the barrels were full. I immediately panicked as I wasn’t sure how long my cats had been without food. Fortunately my cats did not seem famish or like they has been without food for long but as a pet parent this made me furious as replenishing when low on food is literally this bowl’s purpose and it does not do it’s job. I can’t imagine what might have been the case had I been away longer. As far as a bowl for daily use goes, it should be fine but I do not recommend for multi days away.

If you love your animals, do NOT get this!!
I bought these feeder and water bowls because I was going to be away for a week. When I came home, my poor Kitts was STARVING! The food was all stuck in the top and did not automatically fall down. I was so sad for my kitty, I cried!! What if she starved to death!?!? I want a refund!

Would Not Recommend
The feeder constantly gets clogged where it needs to be jostled before it will dispense the food. I will be purchasing a different feeder.
