I bought this for my 9lb pet dog. I thought it would help to insure she always had water. However, it's just a place for bugs to die in, it doesn't empty completely only to a certain level and stays there. If you manually try to get more water in the bowl, it will just go back into the container and even out again. I wasted my money.
