My cat loves this mat...We actually keep it on the couch. It keeps him so warm and cozy. He leaves it only for a little while and goes right back to it.

Has a plastic loud crunchy backing that will literally keep you awake at night. My dog moved around so much that within an hour I had to remove it. Taking it back immediately.

The self warming mechanism probably works but it's made out of crunchy material that scares my dogs when they step on it. They won't really use it.
