Petlinks Tweet Thing is a touch-activated electronic sound toy with catnip and feathers. The touch activated sounds stimulate your cat's instinct to hunt without harming real birds. Most cats respond to catnip with a burst of energetic activity followed by a calm mellow period. Our catnip is produced without chemicals or pesticides and is grown on our own catnip farms.

No sound = no fun.

I was looking forward to giving this toy to my cat, Andy. Unfortunately, the sound chip in it was dead on arrival. I tried to exchange it at two different Petco stores, but neither one carried it, so I ended up returning it. Such a shame, as it seemed like a cute toy.

I have a newly adopted cat who is still a bit wild so is in a room by himself. I bought a bunch of toys for him so he wouldn't get bored. This just came in the mail today and I threw it in there with him. I have heard non-stop chirping ALL DAY. He is going CRAZY in there with this thing! It stopped for a little while and I thought he was done with it, like cats do, but then I went in and it was because he was throwing it around so much it ended up in the trash can! I fished it out and now I just hear him banging around and constant chirping again. He LOVES this thing! Even if my other cats don't end up liking it, I'll be buying more of these just for him. Even if it ends up breaking tomorrow, money well spent!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Most annoying toy ever and they love it...

This toy is the most annoying toy ever, and of course, the cats LOVE it. TWEET TWEET TWEET TWEET...it chirps. A LOT. Especially when the youngest one decides he HAS to carry it around and around the house and not put it down. BUT...it's doing what it's supposed to--amusing them. I can always hide it at night. LOL

Yes, I recommend this product.

My cats, and dog!, love this toy

My cats love this toy, but the pet that plays with it the most is the dog. She throws this thing around and could chase it all day. The sound was annoying but thankfully didn't last long because I "accidentally" stepped on it, but it works just fine as a toy without the sound (it's a better toy without the sound if you ask me). I'm ordering more of these so I don't run out, so I would definitely recommend it. Keep in mind all pets are different though so I male no guarantees that another pet would love it as much.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My cat loves this stupid toy more than anything

I bought the first Tweet Thing for my cat because it was on sale at my local Petco store. The cat immediately fell in love with it. He carried it around all day and all night. The tweeting noise is turned on by removing a piece of plastic which I fortunately kept and was able to slip back into the slot to silence the tweeting. The cat didn't care, he loved it anyway. By the next day most of the feathers had pretty much been scattered all over the house. The cat didn't care, he still loved it. In the morning he would bring it to his food dish and try to feed it breakfast. Later it would be soaking wet because he would dip it in his water dish to give it a drink. A couple days later the cat had apparently ripped open the little black drawstring bag that held the electronic tweeting gizmo and battery which I threw away. All that was left was a piece of fuzzy brown rag attached to the tail with the green apple at the end and the cat was still carrying it around. At which time I bought him a second one and eventually a third which he loves dearly but has also been pretty much totally destroyed.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Tweeter doesn't last long

I have purchased several Tweet Things. My cat loves them but typically the tweeter quits making sound before we have had it for one day. The cat has little interest in it when it doesn't tweet. I have opened up a few of these after they quit tweeting. I always find that a solder joint has failed. I opened one today and found that the both solder joints that connect the tweeter to the circuit board had failed. The tweeter would still work if I held it in place, so everything else worked. I don't have any children at home, so the cat is the only one playing with the toy.

I love the toys my parents give me, but this one really annoyed me. It is too loud and the tweet sounds it makes are not enticing.
