I bought this a week ago. My male cat lay in the curl but later he discovered the toy, turning the unit upside down. I sprinkled catnip on the carpeted area and he rubbed his cheeks on it. I originally hoped my female cat would use the sisal scratching area, but she’s ignored it. Her claw got stuck in the carpet hill today. So it’s a fail as far as she is concerned.

Petlinks offered this same product using different materials a few years ago --- those were 10 times nicer and safer for the pet because they didn't have staples that came out. Please return to the 'old item' - I don't even care if I have to pay more - it would be worth it.

Yes it should. One of our fur babies weighs 22 lbs and he loves it. What we did later to give him some more room was to get 2 of these and put them side by side - making it twice as wide. He really loves that. We have a total of 4 of these in our house and they all get used daily by our kitties for lounging, playing, scratching. They have all held up very well over the 2+ years we have owned them.

We are getting our third set of 2 for our cats... they enjoy laying in them, hiding inside the curve & scratching/chewing the cording. Our cats love each other but are territorial, so we buy 2 of everything. The design & fabric is durable, but with constant use they last about a year before replacement. I recommend them and will need to re-purchase soon (nothing lasts forever)!
