A well-balanced arid skink diet consists of a variety of live insects, including gut-loaded (recently fed) crickets, mealworms, roaches and waxworms.
House adult arid skinks separately and do not house different reptile species together. Never grab a skink by its tail as they may drop their tail.

Hi! We went to a reptile expo this past Saturday and fell in love with a northern blue tongue skink. We ended up bringing him home with us. Upon closer inspection we noticed he has a couple small little bumps on his scales. All we know about him is he is a adult male Northern. The seller said he’s a couple years old but didn’t know for sure. He is really the sweetest little big lizard! Is this reason for immediate concern? Hoping you can help!
patternless leopard gecko body compulsion waves contracting and growling
We just tranferred Joey from a 40 Gallon Tank to a new 90+ Gallon Terrain... He seemed to be pretty happy till today. We noticed right before we changed tanks that he had some dark coloration on his left side and tip of his tail.. He was shedding at the time so we figured it was part of it.. It has yet to go away, and today he seems VERY active, mostly attempting to climb the glass of the tank. I have attached a photo, Thank You in advance! ~Robert~
WHat kind of snake did my cat kill? My cat brought back a dead baby snake it isn’t like any snake native to England it was black with red spots that look like daimond shape I can’t find anything online
I have a fire skink who's supposed to be a 'voracious eater' I have not seen it eat . I've had her for a month and keep and a number of crickets in her tank . She doesn't appear malnourished but like I said earlier I've never seen her eat.
I have a baby red eared slider a friend bought from Chinatown then couldn’t keep. I believe it’s about 1-2 months old as it wasn’t even old enough to eat when I recieved it. I have him set up in a filtered tank with a dry rock area and some caves in the water that he likes to sit on. He’s developed a couple small white spots on his shell and I’m worried that it’s some kind of infection but I also don’t know if he’s maybe starting to shed his shell.
When I bought my white tree frog from Petsmart it had what looks like an old scar on his leg (see attached picture). So far he has been acting as normal as my other white tree frog, other than being a little shy and better at hiding. I've had him for over a week now, should I warrant concern? (And what is something I can do if there is.)
When a res turtle skin turns into a lighter shade of pink in some areas of her skin, Is it a disease or inflammation? Can it be treated at home or need vet?
I cannot tell if my baby leapord gecko is a boy or a girl. I need assistance please :)!
Here’s a picture of my baby gecko’s wound after she got bit by her sister, a little bit of skin got peeled
My one year-old leopard gecko about a week ago shed and ripped too many layers of skin off her tail and it’s been bleeding and cracking she didn’t drop it off and giving her a bath putting mineral oil on it Neosporin and Vaseline she’s very restless and continuously licks her tail I have her on Eco earth and she still eats and poops and Drinks really good
My (male?) leopard gecko has what appears to be a bubble near its front right arm. I poked it with my finger to see if it was solid and it move, I poked it again and it moved back to over the arm again (on the shoulder). I think it is ether an air or fluid bubble under the skin, I do not know why it was there or how long it has been there, my gecko does not appear to have any other signs of illness.
