Use only one collar per dog. Separate the collar from the pulltab strip and discard the pull tab strip in the trash. Placecollar around dog's neck; adjust for fit, and buckle in place.Feed excess collar through the remaining two clasps forextra hold and a clean fit. The collar must be worn loosely toallow for growth of the dog and to permit the collar to moveabout the neck. Generally, a properly fitted collar is one thatwhen fastened, will snugly slide over dog's head. Leave 2 or3 inches for extra adjustment. Cut off and dispose of excesslength. Wash hands after placing collar on dog. Replacecollar every 6 months or sooner if needed.
