Hi! My dog was diagnosed through x-ray reading with broncho-interstitial pattern throughout the lungs. She was prescribed Clavamox then prescribed doxycycline. She is congested and has labored/hard time breathing. I am looking for somethin to help clear her congestion and help her breathe better. What can you suggest me to give her? Hoping for Natural or Holistic Pet products?
I have taken in an 8 year old cat that has upper respiratory problems. I took her to the vet and he gave me an antibiotic. That was taken and she seems a little better but she stills has it. She does eat and drink, so that is not the problem. I have been giving her a product called Respiratory Support from Only Natural Pet and also a powder called Immune Support. I have been doing this for about 2 weeks now. Do you have any other advice?
Hi, is there a medicine i can buy from my local pet store to relieve mucus from chest, and throat of my 8 year old staff
Hello, My vet has been treating my 17 year old cat for bad flu for over a month. She has had a course of antibiotics for 4 weeks - every monday. My vet has been doing house calls as she is arthritic and I feel it is better to not distress her at this age. Today he was here and diagnosed her with lung failure. He prescribed a human bronchilator - which she really can't bare to swallow. She drools and I can't get it down her, it's so sad to watch. Can you recommend any other product that is not s
Preemptively i was looking to get this for herpes flares in my cats. My main worry is the ethanol. Are any of these ingredients harmful? Are any beneficial? My cat often has respiratory problems and once they start it takes a lot for them to stop. Saline nose drops seem to help. She has been having an episode for several weeks where it is is getting harder and harder to breathe. And today she threw up (abnormal for her) and had liquid stool. I also give her 5 mg of zyrtec a day because it seems to help. What can I do to help her breathe again?
Sweetie had asthma attacks some time ago which I mistook for hairballs but I investigated and realized her symptoms matched sthma, I quickly changed her environment and food for possible allergens to see if that would help and it did. But she did have one this month due to someone petting her when they had too much cologne on, I have vet appt soon fo a rescue pump for sound of mind but I do not want her on any steriods due to their effects. If so what steriod inhailer has the least side effects?
My vet diagnosed my cat with asthma and pneumonia and she has been on liquid amoxicillin for 5 days now along with nebulizer with saline treatment. When give her the meds she begins to drool in a foamy way. This last time she had labored breathing with her mouth open in addition. I administered the nebulizer treatment which helped her breathe normally again. But I don't know if that's normal bc of the stress from being given the meds or if she is having a bad reaction. Should I be concerned?
For about 6 months, Jolly has had a cough. Coughs mostly about ten minutes after waking up for around 30 secs. Is active otherwise. Meds including Caricef, Velosef, Ventolin, Azomax, Drontal haven't made any significant difference. Animal meds not available here. Vet wants to try Avil tablets and Pulmonol cough syrup, but it's impossible to make her eat/drink those. (Bitter?) Is there any feline version of these meds available abroad? Or any better, less bitter alternative that could be tried?
I live on a remote island in Alaska with not many options and I have a 19 year old 10 lb dog the has had a Persiant cough fo2 years now and is getting very constant. I know she is old but I would like to make her last years as comfortable as I can. Can you recomand a product I can give her.
Hi- I have a 15 year old cat who is being treated for asthma and chronic bronchitis as well as seasonal allergies. She takes prednisolone every 3 days. I have Zyrtec and another vet prescribed antihistimine that makes her sleepy to use as needed. I also have little noses decongestant to use prn, I have an albuterol inhaler with a a special spacer for attacks I use rarely. Tonight she seems sniffy. Sometimes I think the antihistamines give her a cough. What do you recommend I use?
What is a good home remedy to help a cat with breathing problems until you can get them to the vet?
