Hi, is there a medicine i can buy from my local pet store to relieve mucus from chest, and throat of my 8 year old staff
My 14y/o fur baby has confirmed CHF. She's on lasix and prednisolone; however, lately is having a harder time breathing than usual and wheezes and coughs alot. My vet has already said current weather conditions make her worse etc. So my question is just until I can get her seen again, would Mucinex DM or an extra dose of steroid help her breath easier?
Our cat huffs and puffs after she hisses. She was diagnosed with asthma last year, but due to pancreatitis we had to stop inhalers. She hasnt coughed in over 6 months and hasn’t huffed and puffed in over 5. Could it be from new carpeting? Or seasonal allergies? Lack of humidity? We started her back on her bronchial dialator again, but am nervous about just giving that to her without the steroid after. Could it be throat irritation? She was fine all summer.
My 10 1/2yr old Presa Canario was at my vet for 8 days, being treated for pneumonia (IV antibiotics). He sent her home with a prescription for Augmentin (10 days). It's the 8 day since being home on antibotics, and she's going down hll, coughing more & labored breathing. My vet has not been n (yesterday & today), and cannot see my dog until tomorrow late afternoon. I have a nebulizer & albuterol solution. Can I expose her to it, to help her breath easier?
Last month we took him to a vet since he sometimes panted and she diagnosed bronchitis Today I counted his breaths 60 in one minute. What do we do?
My 18 year old cat has been having periodic breathing issues sneezing, and congestion, at this point it seems obvious she has seasonal allergies. However, being 18 years old and I don’t have the money to put her through the extensive allergy investigations and treatments. What are my options? Are there over-the-counter options I can give her?
My yorkie. She seems to have reoccurring problems with her respiratory track. Last winter season she suffered with pneumonia like infection in her lungs which was treated with steroids and doxycycline. Now I’m treating her with doxycycline again and other meds for a heavy congestion in her throat nose. Would Zithromax be next in line for Resistant bacteria? So far no signs of fever. I’m trying to home remedy due to lack of finance. Others med, Zyrtec Benadryl and Robitussin also honey. Thank you
she has had horrible upper respiratory 4months now repeated antibiotics and steroids , theophylline offand now some yellow pill nothing is helping at all. Still sounds horrible and this morning she is urinating slight blood .on antibiotic. She is eating food and drinking but just not herself . We have a pet tent and tunnel she’s hiding a lot now. Please advise next step is it time me to let her go ? vet diag was crackly lungs and sounds and upper respiratory infection 9times 4 month . no improv
Hi, my pet has been breathing rapidly for a few hours now. Our first thought was because of her runny nose so we treated her with steam, it reduced the blockage in her nose but she is still breathing quite heavily. We put her in a room with a humidifier and it looks like its helping, I've also been giving water with sugar and salt periodically since her gums are turning pale. the vets around here open in a couple of hours, what else can I do to help her until then?
Vet gave SMZ960 "1 tab twice daily" (960x2) bloody diarrhea. I obeyed but online vet sites say *once* daily. I stopped after 5days . Dog losing interest in finishing food (1st time ever) & losing breath while eating; as if food is not going down. 30 min later, eats more. Diarrhea improving, but after pooping, dog normally jogs home, but layed down as if eliminating wore him out. Last year, had same bloody diarrhea, same vet (don't know prescription), but none of these issues. Thank you.

My dog still has a non stop cough with a sneeze at the end for 2 weeks now and its on her 5th day on the pill medicine and she has no sign of getting better? what shall i do?
