Hello, I have a 7 year old black lab. He's a big boy who gets very hot in warm weather so likes to lie on the coolest surface he can find which is always hard. Consequently, he has callouses on his elbows but they have become a lot bigger this year and one of them looks sore. I just wondered what Ii could do to alleviate this problem. Pitbull terrier was prescribed Panalog for ear infection today. Gave dose (maybe a bit more than I should in 1 ear) and dog shook a lot out. He was shaking his head a lot and panting afterwards. I gave benadryl (50mg) to help him with scratching & sleep. He calmed down and Slept an hr. But he's awake and has been periodically shaking his head/scratching since then and can't get comfortable enough to sleep. What to do?
How can I help my dog with his arthritis
Hello - my French Bulldog has stiffness in her left clavicle area, stiffness of her muscles. She also has a fluid filled pocket underneath her jaw/ neck area. She had a 104 degree fever earlier this week but was given anti inflammatory and antibiotics. Been on them for about 5 days.
My dog has arthritis and Friday was vomiting. Now today she won’t get up and she isn’t eating. She also is shivering so we have covered up. Is there anything else I can do to make her more comfortable
My Shih Tzu, 14.5 years old has an enlarged heart. X-Ray shows about twice the size. He's on VetMedin and Fortekor and has now spills for the fluid buildup. He is breathing heavier than normal, but is activ and eats well. What else can I do to help him ?
My dog is panting and shaking and doesn't want to move
Angel has lung CA, X-ray 1 week ago showed primary mass increasing in size, lots of new smaller masses, RR currently 46 (vet said 30-40 fine), nasal flaring, use of accessory muscles, and new fine crackles to RLL. She looks comfortable, resting, eyes closed, should we bring her to ER or wait til morning? It’s 2230 right now, could try to get her into regular vet in morning. What could be done to make her comfortable? 1xdose furosemide? Currently on prednisone, gabapentin, CBD. Thanks!!
Hello, our Doberman pooped in his kennel yesterday while we were at work, and sat in it for a little while. We noticed his testicles seemed to be bugging him, and are red and inflamed. Our guess is because he sat in his feces with no place to go :( we’ve given him Benadryl last night and this morning, but we’re not sure what else we should do. We try to wipe them with cool water, he doesn’t really let us. Is there anything else that we can do without having to physically take him to the vet?
Why does my beagle just lay down in the middle of playing to sleep
My dog is a maltese/poodle and about 6 yrs. old. He was a rescue from PetCo. We are not active people being in our 70's and have med. conditions but he sometimes gets a run but usually a mild walk. He has been chewing at his front legs to where they are discolored. At his last grooming his eyes became irritated from the eyebrows being shaved too close and he kept rubbing them so I washed them with a boric acid solution made for humans. They seem better but still have the hard gunk on the edges.
