Hi, I have a F1 Miniature Poodle and Bernese Mountain Dog Mix that I am picking up on Wednesday. The mother (Bernese) is 60 pounds and the father (mini poodle) is 15 pounds. Can you advise me on what sized Crate to buy? I'm not sure how big he will be and I was looking online and thinking of buying a 36-inch Intermediate size crate. My second ?, I was going to buy Earthbath Oatmeal shampoo. Do you recommend that? Any bristle brush recommendations? Any health warnings on the breed? Thank you!!
my 17 yr. old 5 # Pomeranian (neutered male) has to wear a male wrap, due to frequent wetting in the house... but can wriggle out of it...I found the Vet's Best Perfect Fit ...which sounds like it would work well, but I need a liner that is really absorbent to put in it... I want to crate train my 1 year old dog. I bought a "medium" crate for her , shes 25 lbs - aussie/dashund mix so shes kind of long shaped. The measurments on the box are for a dog even taller/wider than mine... but the crate doesnt really seem big enough for her to turn around in (unless she kind of squirmed up into a circle). Do you think I need to buy a larger crate? Why does the size on the box say its good for the dog's size.. / ?
I want to line my dogs crate with a blanket or pad so he can be comfortable when he has to stay in it for a few hours, but he keeps chewing and ingesting blankets. Is there anything I can do to stop this behaviour so that he doesn't eat the blanket?
My mixed black lab has a small "wound" (about 1.5" long). He licks it often and sometimes tries to chew at it a bit. He's fixed. He is about 90 lbs. and about 3' long from snout to the base of his tail. We kennel him into a large crate (42"L x 27"H x 27"D). There doesn't seem to be anything in the crate that could cause this type of irritation/wound. We walk him frequently outside (at LEAST 6 times a day) and sometimes tie him up outside while we're playing or working (he's never outside alone).

What size crate should I purchase for an adult German Shepherd I am planning to adopt?
We are desperate for help with crating Woody. From 4 am on he whines and cries. We give him a VetriScience Composure Behavioral Health snack before bed, and give him plenty of toys (right away and when he starts whining). We even got a larger crate for him (30 inches), and cover it so it's den like. Is there anything stronger that will keep him sleeping longer? What can we do to help him ease into crating? We are ready to give up on crating/put him in another room :(
