We are getting a 6 week old male shih tzu. Is it ok to plane his potty pad and bed in his playpen? He will be kept in his playpen when we are not home and he will sleep in it over night. When we are home do we keep his potty pad in the play pen so he knows that spot for him to always go? Also do we leave his bed in there for him to go nap when we are home? We will leave the gate to his playpen open when we are home
What size crate should I purchase for an adult German Shepherd I am planning to adopt?
My pet puppy is 28 days old now.this is my first time to have a pet.i need to know everything to take care of my puppy can you help me with this?
My 6 month puppy has 17 inches tall is he has correct height according to their age
I want to crate train my 1 year old dog. I bought a "medium" crate for her , shes 25 lbs - aussie/dashund mix so shes kind of long shaped. The measurments on the box are for a dog even taller/wider than mine... but the crate doesnt really seem big enough for her to turn around in (unless she kind of squirmed up into a circle). Do you think I need to buy a larger crate? Why does the size on the box say its good for the dog's size.. / ?
My 3 month old pup seems to have separation anxiety. My boyfriend and I both work during the day, one of us coming home at lunch to walk her. During the time we are not at the house we put her in a kennel. She barks constantly and has accidents in her kennel. I wanted to get her a gated off play-pen that i could leave her in while we are at work. I figured it is more room to let her roam around a bit and I can put her favorite bed/ toys for comfort. Is this a bad or good idea for a young puppy?
So my dog keeps peeing in her kennel. I have started making more frequent potty breaks and that has helped some. But she still has accidents about twice a week. So I have thought about getting her a smaller kennel. She is in a 42’’ wire kennel. She can lay in a ball in the corner of it and not take up much room. She is too tall for a smaller kennel. What should I do? Also she had had all her bloodwork done and nothing is wrong. She is 30’’ tall and 30’’ long.
My very large male cat has trouble getting intout his litter pan.. Do you know where I can get a large, very large pan?
I’m adopting a Japug in 6 weeks. Freezing and hot weather so want to litter train her. What to do to get this done stress free?
I'm having a hard time keeping patty focus when I'm training her. My backyard is spacious and lately I've been considering training her in a pen. Is this a good idea to try out?
I've moved and to get my cat acclimated I've decided I'm going to crate him while we are working. The crate i have is 42"x28"x30", with a dual level. Will this be enough space for my cat? He is 14y/o, and will be crated for 6-8 hours 5 days a week for a few weeks, until he gets used to the area. Of course he'll be inside the house, and let out in the evenings and sometimes for a bit on lunchtime.
We are struggling with a 4 m.o. havapoo that won't potty or poop outside. She won't let us brush her, she chews on her harness until it's caught in her mouth and she has jumped or pushed her way out of any gated area we've tried to set up for when we are gone. We try to crate her at night and she cries and barks for over 20 mins & won't sleep until she see us - we need help - we've treated her along the way when she does good but it's not working
