My dog got groomed yesterday. His hair is short anyway. Anyway, this appeared this morning. Any ideas?
At what age can is it safe/recommended to take my pet to the groomers?
My dog has ticks, will a vet or groomer be able to remove them from my little friend?
Have a spunky new rescue chihuahua mix and she is skittish. So much so she will resist any efforts to trim her nails. We have 4 dogs so I have trimmed nails hundreds of times--but with Ricki Ricardo, no luck. I sit on the floor and flip them over and cradle them between my legs. My wife distracts them with peanut butter on a spoon. Besides going to a groomer or vet, any ideas? I thought maybe a groomer table might help. Are there premium nail cutters of higher quality than store bought?
Is there a sedative I can get (not from the vet - he is too expensive) in pill form to settle my 14-pound Shih-Tzu down before she heads to the groomer? She is so wiggly that they have a heck of a time clipping her. I am hoping there is something easily found at a pet store or feed store like IFA. Any suggestions?
I’m a relatively new cat owner of a soon to be one year old, so I’ve been doing my research on grooming. Thus far I’ve been routinely clipping her nails and recently I did a brush through with a water less shampoo. I’ve also been implementing dental treats. Is there any other grooming I should be doing or should I do any of these things more often? Google has been unhelpful with all the conflicting opinions! I love my cat and hope you can help her be as comfortable as possible :) Thanks!
My pet hade a grooming a few days ago si ves then he hasent stop scratching and bitting him self I have him Benadryl but he still scratches him self
hi, I am a miniature pincer owner. She is 10 years old, and in the past 5-6 months she has fur problems. on some spots like legs stomach neck she has lost most of her hair . her skin is dry and looks like she has dandruff.i talk to the vet and i keep shower her with one shampoo that smells like petroleum.looks better but it is far worse than the fur she had- shiny and perfect.please help me what to do. thank you
Hello, I have read that due to Boston Terrier's short coat and dryer skin, that it's important that I take care of her skin and coat by using a high quality shampoo with a high quality conditioner in it that both have the best and right ingredients in them "specifically for a Boston". I prefer both in one bottle. So I would really appreciate sending me 2-3 high quality products that you highly recommend specifically for Bostons that will maintain a healthy smooth silky shiny coat for my Boston ?
My dog is constantly licking herself on the top of her front paws and her back legs well we noticed her breath has been smelling rancid for about a month now and she would never let us look. Well earlier I decided I had to do something so I bought a dog toothbrush and sat down to open her mouth and upon doing so found she had a big hairball matted in between her brottom front teeth. I got tweezers and pulled it out and now her gums are bleeding and look very raw and I'm worried about infection.
My dog is a maltese/poodle and about 6 yrs. old. He was a rescue from PetCo. We are not active people being in our 70's and have med. conditions but he sometimes gets a run but usually a mild walk. He has been chewing at his front legs to where they are discolored. At his last grooming his eyes became irritated from the eyebrows being shaved too close and he kept rubbing them so I washed them with a boric acid solution made for humans. They seem better but still have the hard gunk on the edges.
My dog was spayed on 1/9. The incision is good with some stitches still visible. Is it ok for her to be groomed?
