My dog is a maltese/poodle and about 6 yrs. old. He was a rescue from PetCo. We are not active people being in our 70's and have med. conditions but he sometimes gets a run but usually a mild walk. He has been chewing at his front legs to where they are discolored. At his last grooming his eyes became irritated from the eyebrows being shaved too close and he kept rubbing them so I washed them with a boric acid solution made for humans. They seem better but still have the hard gunk on the edges.
Have a spunky new rescue chihuahua mix and she is skittish. So much so she will resist any efforts to trim her nails. We have 4 dogs so I have trimmed nails hundreds of times--but with Ricki Ricardo, no luck. I sit on the floor and flip them over and cradle them between my legs. My wife distracts them with peanut butter on a spoon. Besides going to a groomer or vet, any ideas? I thought maybe a groomer table might help. Are there premium nail cutters of higher quality than store bought?
Our puppy is 9.5 weeks old , got him a week and a half ago . He is energetic . We put him on a harness and a leash . He’s just sits down and doesn’t want to move . We even tried to entice him with treats ,he barely goes for the treat , he just comes and sits on our lap not wanting to move , once we take off harness and leash , he is back to his playing self , trying for 3 days now , any tips . We let him be on Harness and leash without us controlling it , but he sits still or sleeps . Any tips ?

Hello! I am planning to get a (male) dog soon and I am wondering what would be the best lifestyle for them. I am unsure if I should have my dog as a vegetarian/vegan or stick with products with meat. I would like my dog to live a long, healthy life. What is the best lifestyle for dogs?
My dog is old and has had several bad falls now on our laminate and tile floors. She just needs some traction to prevent her from slipping. There are many dog boots out there for hiking and what not. They seem like they would help her from slipping on the floor. Could she wear boots like that 24/7? Or at least most of the day? I could also buy a paw cream as well to prevent bad rubbing. Do you know of any boots specifically made for constant use? Or any other products she could benefit from?
My dog is bleeding at the end of her urine stream and pees often. She doesn't act like it hurts. She is an 11 year old wire haired fox terrier.
Hello, I have a 7 year old black lab. He's a big boy who gets very hot in warm weather so likes to lie on the coolest surface he can find which is always hard. Consequently, he has callouses on his elbows but they have become a lot bigger this year and one of them looks sore. I just wondered what Ii could do to alleviate this problem. My dog is a 4 1/2 beuceron mix about 45 pounds and since yesterday he has been chewing on his tail so much that he has skin exposed now....we just put him on a cone just in case but it looks really red (not bleeding) and like with pus.

Lioh weighs 9.2 lbs and has been prescribed nexgard 4-10lbs (6 packets or 6 months worth). I know he will be gaining weight over the next 6 months and therefore donno know if I should get him 3 packs instead of 6. What would you advice?
I have a 16 year old Roosevelt terrier.......she is having bad coughing fits and a horrible smell to her breath.......she has had three episodes in 4 days where she coughs really bad the falls over her heart is stopping for a few seconds to up to a minute....is there anything that can be done or is it time to let her go join her parents on the rainbow bridge?
