Very impressed with the quality and construction of this carrier. Easy to fold up and transport with buckles to keep it flat when not in use. Our 11-week old Chow Chow pup enjoys the size and space with generous screen area. We love the top zipper opening! Easy to clean and fits well in our smaller SUV. VERY happy with this purchase!

I put this crate together and my mini schnoodle went in it right away. He loves it. I got it take with me to San Diego when I visit my daughter. My schnoodle already has the metal crate that he naps in and sleeps all night in. I didn't want to mess up his routine when traveling. I had a little trouble at first with the two bars to secure the top. But the 2nd time I did it, they weren't as stiff. I put a little bed inside it and cover it make it more den like.

This canvas carrier is the cat's meow! It is well made, has smooth sliding zippers, handy carrying strap, lightweight and a snap to set up. It's even easier to collapse for storage. I highly recommend this sturdy and well made pet carrier.

Package arrived without damage. Easy to assemble and use. Liked the sherpa lined removable and washable cover for floor of carrier. Carrier handle makes it easier for transporting. Purchased for transporting cats to and from the vet. Haven't used yet but the cats have used it to relax/sleep in. Purchased for cats between 15lbs and 17lbs.

What are those buckle or secure clips on the side used for?

Looking at the photo here and reading the description a guess would be that it is the handles on top that velcro together with a little velcro wrap that allow you to carry it with a small animal in a small carrier and just the kennel if larger to different areas in your home. The ones at the bottom allow the kennel to be collapsed and carried WITHOUT the animal in it. Good for storage etc. This is just a guess here.
