I bought a Furminator for short haired dogs after my girl's bath earlier this week. She's starting to shed due to the change in weather. Though, I've noticed some complications with her fur. The hair on her lower back and shoulders comes out easily, which is great! However, the hair on her mid back is more coarse/rough and takes more effort to comb. Is there something wrong? Do I need a specific shampoo to make it softer? What should I do? Pics: 1. Her entire back. 2. Soft fur. 3. Rough fur.
Is it better to dry a dog with a hairdryer or leave him to dry on his own? My dog is soaking wet and I don't know whether to leave him or try to dry him with a towel although he just tries to chew the towel so I never am able to towel dry him. And his collar is soaking wet too should I take that off of him to dry separately?
Hi! Thanks for your time! My little dog Baxter is white, so he gets dirty pretty fast. I usually give him baths about 1nce a week (that was okayed my our vet) but because the weather is so cold now, he is sooo cold after his baths, eventually we warm him up though. Just adopted a 5 month dog from a shelter she itches a lot and has a lot of debris/possibly dry skin. There is no movement so we don’t believe they are fleas. Bathed 2x and it doesn’t come off. The skin looks normal under coat. Please help.
