What is the best feeding mechanism to put the dog's meal for 15-30 min then take it or leave it all the day for the dog to eat as she want?

I have an older yellow lab that gets bored really easily. He gets bored with kongs and is an extreme chewer so rawhides or other chewies disappear SUPER fast! Since he's so smart should I still start him on the most basic puzzle or try something harder? I don't want to waste money on toys he'll go through really fast. I adopted a very overweight dog. I am working on weight management and she has lost some weight but I'm concerned as she gobbles her food down literally in a minute. I just bought the puzzle bowl but she can only reach one morsel at a time using her tongue as she is a big dog. This doesn't seem right either but I don't know. It definitely slowed her eating. I JUST found a wet food that Snaccs will eat. (If fed by hand or really hungry)(Blue Basics) that he's had no reactions to. He does have a very sensitive tummy and dairy allergies so it was important to find something that suited him. However, my mom decided to buy "Lil Plates" dog food for him (as well as 2 cans of blue) hoping I'll give him a "tastier option". I don't know nor do i trust this brand much to know if it fits within his dietary needs. Will this make him sick?
