So we are going to use a remote collar to train the puppy to never chew the chainlink fence she doesn’t do it often . A trainer on YouTube Solidk9 training recommended. I think it’s better to have a mild stem correction than broken teeth one day. Also going to use to work on her recall she is 80% reliable everywhere but backyard that’s 10% she comes back. What brands on amazon are good? And how do I condition her to the collar?
I posted a question about shock collars. I have tried to off leash train him “the postive only route” it’s is not cruel look up Off leash canine and Solidk9. They can train huskies off leash and other dogs with this tool. Doesn’t hurt anymore than tens unit. Used on myself as Solidk9 training told me to do didn’t hurt a bit. E collars have changed in the years you might of saw them. He would of never been trusted off leash now can enjoy full off leash life safely. He is very happy to have that.
I'm curious and there are any links to e-collars and cancer in dogs? I have tried positive reinforcement for months with my dog and training her not to pull like a mad man on walks but it isn't working at all. I'm desperate for help but dont want to do anything to harm her. Growing up my dog had a shock collar around out house and she got lymphnode cancer when she was 3 and I remember my mom always blaming it on the collar and it has always scared me since.
I've been working with a trainer to make it easier to walk my dog since it became very difficult with him trying to bark aggressively to any dog he sees. He'll pull the leash a lot to try to get there and it's quite a scene. We've tried no pull harnesses, prong collars and there's no use. Trainer mentioned acquiring a halti or gentle lead to help me ease him. He was bitten by other dog when he was a puppy and that's why he's so anxious. It only happens when walking. Is this leash a goodsuggestion?
Why doesn’t my dog react after I shock him with a shock collar
Whats the best flea collar money can buy for 10lb dogs
I want to get my dogs able to be offleash. They know come but need something to make them listen even if they don’t want to. I have seen trainers on YouTube use e collars to train this. How would I do this? Please don’t say don’t use it. Anyone that has used them on their dogs?
My dogs shock collar was left on to long and I noticed a smell and two holes on her neck where the collar was. What can I do to help treat her at home because I can't afford a huge bill
Collar training My 14 week papillon is tiny just over 2lbs. The smallest harness does not fit. I began collar and leash during potty pad time, then keeping on and off for periods yesterday. Of course she bites and plays with the leash, causing it to be more of a potty training distraction than tool. The collar, right sized no dangles made of nylon, seems to irritate her skin. She itches it constantly. Is this hurting her skin or part of getting used to the collar?
My 4 month old puppy has a really thin soft collar around her neck and she still shuts down when wearing it. Basically she won't even move and just stares. Is there a good method to help her forget the collar?(similar picture attached). When i remove the collar she goes back to playing. Is there something more i should besides leaving it on her or should I get a trainer?
My 5 yr old chihuahua/miniature doberman very aggressive and growls at times. Would a shock collar help with that?
Thinking of buying a vibrating collar for correcting Aira when she doesn't walk the way I want her to, but is it a good or bad idea?
