Will my ShiChon who is 15 long and 11 high fit in a airline soft sided carrier that is 17x11x11? Will she be comfortable as well? I’ve attached a picture of her in it. She climbed in herself.
we have a 20 pound rat terrier mix in excellent health, not overweight. She is 11 yrs old and we were trying to fin d a carrier like a backpack to put her in for our long walks, when she gets tired. There are so many to choose from. I like the ones that we strap on the front of the human, and her legs stick out at the top and bottom just like a real baby. However I am concerned that the position might put too much pressure on her back end. What can you recommend?
I really need to know if I can take my puppy with me in his carrier when I go to certain places.Mighty is a month with his first set of shots, I leave him alone often because I’m not sure if I can travel with him in his carrier. He is a dachshund and Maltese mix.
My dog is old now and has hip issues that require we help her up. I'm looking into harnesses to make both our lives easier but am not sure which style would be more comfortable and less damaging. I can only get a few styles in my country (attaching pics) and they all look painful to me. Which of these would be best? Or would any or none be a good choice? Would one wrapping around her legs be better than one wrapping around her belly? Thanks!
I have an Australian Cattle Dog. I love him. He's the best. I almost got him close to where I want him to be. Problem is when I go to work I put him in a crate. I'm also a cyclist. I feel bad putting him in the crate again after work just for me to ride. If I let him out while I ride he gets bored easily and he starts scratching on the door. I've dedicated basically my whole life to this dog. It's worth it. But sometimes I just wanna ride.
got 2 kitties 1 is 22 lbs other is 8, they need a window seat, I live way out in the country no shops, last 1 I bought was lousy, do you know of a good one, thank you so much for your time
Hello. I will be picking up my French bulldog/boxer tomorrow. What type of treats and toys are great for this breed of dog? Note I will be transporting the dog via car after pickup.
My dog used to LOVE riding in the car. Now he's very reluctant and while riding he pants and tries to crawl in my lap (big dog) like he's afraid or not feeling well. Thank you!
I just adopted an 8 week old mixed breed (breeds unknown) from a SouthLA shelter. Today I pick her up from being spayed and was wondering if it would be okay to carry her being that she is very small and cannot walk on a leash. While reading some articles I stumbled upon one that mentioned that dogs shouldn't be carried following the operation because it stretches their abdomen which could result in scarring or ripping the stitches. I just wanted conformation. (This is my first ever pet dog)
We're considering a dog for adoption; likely basset-beagle mix (foster maybe some terrier). We have three staircases in our 4-floor townhouse. Concerned that stairs would be bad for his back if he shares that problem with Basset hounds. Do you think he will have issues based on these measurements, and the photo attached? 15" Neck; 15" Front paw/leg to shoulder area; 15" Rear paw/leg to shoulder area; 27" Chest circumference; 23 1/2" Base of neck to base of tail.
I am about to bring home my new puppy. I know it is best to crate her during car rides and plan to do so to take her home. When is a good time to transition to being buckled in the backseat? I want to socialize her to this for future rides. She is a large collie breed.
A bike ran over my bitch (puppy) , she is 3.5 months old. Her lower portion of body is swelled up and she is also having fever . She occasionally starts breathing very fast. The bike ran over lower portion.. in the evening saliva was dripping out of her mouth also but now its not happening . She is not facing any problem while walking.
