My 3 month old pup seems to have separation anxiety. My boyfriend and I both work during the day, one of us coming home at lunch to walk her. During the time we are not at the house we put her in a kennel. She barks constantly and has accidents in her kennel. I wanted to get her a gated off play-pen that i could leave her in while we are at work. I figured it is more room to let her roam around a bit and I can put her favorite bed/ toys for comfort. Is this a bad or good idea for a young puppy?

I found out one week ago I must move. I’m not worried about my 5 year old little dog; she’s moved before. I’m concerned about young pit mix, 66 lb Jimmy. We are going from a 9 room house, big yard to a studio apartment on the second floor. Theygo outside easily, regularly, play, eliminate & hang in the sunshine. We will be getting our new up in 2 days. Just a few days shy of 8 weeks old. At this age, I understand taking them out for potty every few hours. But how important is taking them out for a walk at this age vs play at home or at backyard?
I adopted a medium mixed dog yesterday. He was neutered the day before. The humane society's record showed he was crate trained. He barks almost constantly when in his crate, except the first few minutes when he's working on his peanut butter Kong. I walk him before crating and he urinates and sometimes has a BM during the walk. If I can't get this addressed, I may have to return him. Please help!
