Dog expressing anal glands frequently. Negative for intestinal parasites, have added pumpkin to food
I was told to give my dog 100% natural canned pumkin to my dog to keep her poop soft, but I'm wondering if I'm giving her to much, she has been having stinky farts, no diarrhea. Can to much pumpkin be a bad thing? She gets 1 to 2 teaspoons of pumpkin twice a day. And also what would be a good dog food to feed her? She had a bowel obstruction in august, surgery went well. But just want to keep her bowels happy and healthy :)
Is it just pumpkin that's good for anal glands or is other produce good for anal glands as well. Right now I'm giving my 17 pound dog 2 tablespoons of fruitables digestive supplement for her anal glands along with her 2/3 of a cup of kibble a day. Can I swap out 1 tablespoon of fruitables digestive supplement for another tablespoon of veggies? Or is it best to stick with the 2 tablespoons of pumpkin? Thanks!
Hi, I was just wondering if its ok to give my dog some pumpkin that is for dogs while also giving her proviable paste in the same bowl at the same time for an upset stomach and to help with diarrhea? Thank you.
Hello, My dog has been having diarrhea after a round of antibiotics from a dental extraction and ear surgery. Our pet store recommended canned pumpkin so we decdided to give it a try. We calculated our dogs weight wrong and have given her more than the recommended feeding amount. Would this be harmful for her? She's a miniature schnauzer and we possibly fed her a couple tablespoons over...
My dog is 4.5 pounds so how much Pumkin could I give her for harder stools?
Good afternoon, how long does it usually take for pumpkin to work for a constapated dog?
What is best to help with dog constipation? I've heard pumpkins helps does it really? If so how much do I give him?
Could you please recommend a good brand of probiotic dog treats?
How much fiber is a 17 lb. dog supposed to have per day. I wanted to give my dog greens and pumpkin for her anal glands and health but they are causing loose stools. Will she still be getting enough veggies in her food? The brands I use do have veggies listed on the label. (Fromm, Acana and Orijen) will she still be healthy without the added veggies? is this a normal reaction for her to get loose stools from adding that? She takes these supplements: Fish oil, probiotics, joint pill, coconut oil)
I was giving my dog about 2-3 tablespoons of pumpkin to fill up her Kong in the morning. She started having looser stools. I just started giving only one tablespoon in the morning. my vet said she might only need one teaspoon. I have read that they can have up to a tablespoon per meal though. I give a tablespoon of greens at night instead of more pumpkin. Is this ok? Also I give carrot chips as snacks also. I was giving blueberries but she started having looser stools. is this too much fiber?
Recommendation for product to help with gassy puppy?
