I bought it thinking that I could leave it out all the time and the cats could chew on it as they liked. But it says it lasts longer in the frig. And it only lives for 2 weeks. I should have read the package. I won't have bought it.

Pet Greens Cat Grass Original Wheatgrass, 8 oz.
Grass is great for my new kitten who isn't allowed outside just yet. She loves it and eats almost everyday. Taking care of it is kind of hard. I found that watering the grass from the bottom helps it live longer as well as trimming the dead ends once a week.

How is this gluten free if the grass is wheat, rye and barley?
- The gluten is in the grain of the mature plant,not in the grass before the grain grows.

So sometimes I let my cat outside and she always eats grass, but then proceeds to throw up after. Same with my dogs. Will this do that? or will it help ? Thank you
- A lot of the time when animals want to eat grass it is because they are trying to remove worms from their system. You may want to worm the kitty.

Is it ok to give cats if the grass turns brown and is over watering the reason the grass turned brown?
- Our cat will stop eating it once it gets to a certain point... And the grass tends to have a life-span of about 1.5 weeks before it starts to die.

- I have no idea--all I know is that its good for cats & dogs--I have lots cats & they love love it---its suppose to be all natural so you could probably give them a little & see if they like it----asking a vet or petco Dr.'s on hand is my only answer to also trying guinea pigs on a bite---sorry I couldn't be of more help

How long will the grass stay alive? Keep indoors the entire time? I have followed the watering instruct & repotted, but that doesn't help. Does it need to be repotted, or can you leave it in the container and put it on a saucer as mentioned above?
- Watering it plus putting in fridge when not in use helps it live longer. Repotting may help as well.
