I bought this so my Jack Russels and my Rat Terrier would quit waking me up for a lift to the bed. So far, only one Jack will use it. The other two seem turned off by the noise their nails make on the plastic.

are they skid proof...I have laminate floor and my chihuahua will not use them if they move on the floor

My two Shihtzus run up and down them playing and they have never skid or moved while using the steps. In fact, the steps we got for our dogs to climb on the couch worked so well for our dogs that We bought a second unit to put by my bed so they can climb up. If a person bumps into it or pushes it, it might move, but only because of the force by applied on it.
