I thought it would have been more sturdy. Had trouble getting the floor or bottom to fit and still do not feel it is installed properly but that is on me. I don't think it is something I would spend my money on again.

My LuluBelle is a MaineCoon/RedTabby at 18#!! And w/both sides unzipped she’s most comfy in her Pink Roller!! I usually carry her in her bankie (she’s very spoiled) but when carriers are required or there’s an emergency-she takes to it quite easily. I have 3 of these; 1each for my babies. In an emergency I can carry/roll/backpack easily. GREAT PURCHASE!!

Will my approx 20 lb dog fit in this carrier on an airline under the seat?

It will depend on the airline, but it kinda fits under the seat but it will be tight for you to put your legs down. When i took my dog on the flight with me i had to put my feet on top of the house or sit in a pretzel shape. Hope this helps
