We're pretty sure our male German Shepherd has a hygroma on his left elbow (We have laminate flooring). This site doesn't recommend draining it. We are enroute to purchase a dog bed now.
Why does my dog chew up his beds? What would be the best bed for an aging dog?
Hi, I have a F1 Miniature Poodle and Bernese Mountain Dog Mix that I am picking up on Wednesday. The mother (Bernese) is 60 pounds and the father (mini poodle) is 15 pounds. Can you advise me on what sized Crate to buy? I'm not sure how big he will be and I was looking online and thinking of buying a 36-inch Intermediate size crate. My second ?, I was going to buy Earthbath Oatmeal shampoo. Do you recommend that? Any bristle brush recommendations? Any health warnings on the breed? Thank you!!
What pain medicine and/or supplements can Watson take given his low body weight of 3.3 pds at 7 months? He's been rather sick, and the doctor noted his back leg muscles had begun to atrophy. He's trying to move, but it's obvious he's in a lot of discomfort. Could an orthopedic bed help at all as well? I'm fighting alongside him in his recovery.
My pet has torn all his beds and now sleeps on a blanket or a bedsheet. I hope that won't cause any joint problems in the long run? It seems that he is comfortable sleeping this way. Is it safe?
We bought my dog a new dog bed that’s supposed to help with his anxiety. The first night he loved it - we couldn’t get him out of it! Since that first night, he doesn’t like to sit on it anymore. He just humps it and licks it. We can put him directly in it and force him to sit, but he won’t stay long and looks uncomfortable. Should I take the bed away? Why won’t he lag on it anymore?

Coco has arthritis in his left hind leg. He's had two recent flare ups when scratching at his ears. He's had the arthritis for a while now and the vet prescribed Novox, and I've been giving him an oatmeal bath with vitamin E and half of a Benadryl for itching and it seems to help. We crate him at night but I still worry about his hip. Is there anything I can do or is it just something that comes with age? He's been doing a lot better, but I just would like to know what would help.
Brought my dog home from 3 day stay at vet for pancreatitis, of course he has meds and low fat diet, hes a bit obese at 108 lbs. my concern is control of his legs under him, i have wood floors but even on the rug he is having a hard time with strength to walk.
Female pug usually sleeps in orthopedic bed w male, they have always been unseparable and sleep smooshed together in their giant bed but lately she keeps sleeping on floor in hallway on other side of living room. Hello, my dog won’t sit/lay down for longer than 2 minutes. Recently was diagnosed with Arthritis (2 months ago) but was told it wasn’t severe enough yet to require surgery/meds. He’s been acting weird the last couple of hours, its Easter Sunday so vets are closed so is there any medicine we can buy at the store to ease his pain so he can sleep until we can see our vet tomorrow.
