I made an adjustment and it fixed the problem I had with it. Shipping flat isn't the problem. The cube walls had a line of stitching through the horizontal center of each foam wall, making the house sag so that it would not "pop" upright 30 hours after opening. I took out all those stitches which were put in place only to make the cubes easier to collapse for the manufacturer. The walls no longer want to crease there. If you remove the threads of this seam, it is essential to check inside and out to remove all of them (esp those inside the cube where kitties sleep).

This arrived flat, but most items spring back up. This little cat house has a cute design but the sides, top, and bottom have no stiffness. It buckles inward at the sides. The pillow for cats to rest on inside is uneven and rather thin. Instructions say to let it lay on its side for a couple of hours but this hasn't improved it so far. Still has a very squashed look. Very very disappointing.
