Raised dog feeding stands, good or bad for large breed dogs?
Hello, I have a 7 year old black lab. He's a big boy who gets very hot in warm weather so likes to lie on the coolest surface he can find which is always hard. Consequently, he has callouses on his elbows but they have become a lot bigger this year and one of them looks sore. I just wondered what Ii could do to alleviate this problem. 14.5 yr old lab healthy except for osteoarthritis. had erlychiosis 3X, 2X hospitalized, in 2015. pretty stiff walking,does not do stairs, have to lift her to car. on glucosamine/chroin for 5 years, rimadyl 100mg for 3. big problems laying down, circles several times, sometimes aborts her lay down and walks away, or gets halfway down and falls the rest. laying down harder than getting up. good appetite, bowel and kidneys fine. what to do? change NSAID? add tramadol? what is best supplement?
This morning my 12 year old black lab would not get out of bed. He was licking his paw and I looked and it was red and bleeding. I’m not sure what happened. I went to the store and cleaned it up really well. I soaked in epsom salt, put some betadine on, then neospoorin, and covered it well. These pictures are currently what it looks like. It is swollen compared to his other paw. I also just soaked it again. He seeems to find comfort from that. I’ve looked as best as possible for something stuck.

My standard poodle pup is 9 weeks old, she doesn’t prefer sleeping on her bed and mattress, instead she’d rather sleep and nap on the hard surface floor, I was wondering if this habit is bad for her bones later on? My dog was taken to a groomer today& was forced to stand up on all fours on a small table for 2+ hrs straight. She's a 165lb St. Bernard,& gets drained from even running for less than 5min. She's extremely lively and always gets up when someone comes home, she hears the ice machine, or wants to follow her family into another room. But after she came home she did none of that. She can't get up st all and barely made it home. Ive been icing her legs. How can I properly treat this muscle fatigue??
We have a 9 month old female great pyreeness. She weighs around 92lbs right now. For the last week she has been limping with her front left paw. I have checked for thorns or cuts and checked her entire leg. We do have a tall bed (bedrooms are upstairs so she's limping up and down thoes) that she will jump on/off of from a bench. She isn't eating as much as normal. She is a inside dog but has been hanging outside even at night even when i call and beg her to come in & is acting depressed
German Shepherd is our only pet. She is intact and 10 yrs old. We take good care of her and she is an inside pet. Within the last three months she has been having very labored breathing when resting at night. It seems to be getting more frequent. Any advice?
