This morning my 12 year old black lab would not get out of bed. He was licking his paw and I looked and it was red and bleeding. I’m not sure what happened. I went to the store and cleaned it up really well. I soaked in epsom salt, put some betadine on, then neospoorin, and covered it well. These pictures are currently what it looks like. It is swollen compared to his other paw. I also just soaked it again. He seeems to find comfort from that. I’ve looked as best as possible for something stuck.
My dogs leg has went from being sore and swollen to turning black and swelling has gotten worse when she lays down her whole body starts shaking and her muscles start to spasm i wont be able to get her help until Wednesday im worried there will be permanent damage is there anything I can do to control her pain to atleast get her comfortable
I have found a black lump on my dogs back, it feels and looks like a black olive, it is about 1 inch wide under skin and half an inch above the skin, it has been getting.bigger very slowly, can you advise please, my dog.os.10 years old and is a German shepherd and lab cross. Thanks.Lorraine
What type of bed would you suggest for my miniature dachshund? She is 3 1/2 months old. She gets cold easily & sleeps w/ me in my bed. She always loves cuddling with me whever I am if on the couch resting, etc. I always have a small blanket & she loves for me to cover her up totally.. She crawls under it & goes to sleep!
I have an appointment tomorrow with my vet for a swollen front left leg. She is a 9 week old Bernedoodle who on Friday was released from the hospital after a week of hospitalization for Parvo Virus.She is recovering well but today her front leg where her IV line was, is very swollen at the elbow and ankle getting worse over the day.She is cautious with weight on it. Whines if it is pushed towards her and bites at me when I try to feel it.Is there anything to help with further swelling overnight?
My 11 year old, female Pomeranian is have extreme discomfort around her vaginal area. Her skin in the area has changed from pink to black, and there seems to be some black gunk around it as well. I have taken her to a vet who thought it was allergies so we started her on a half dose of children’s Benadryl (she weighs 5-6 lbs) and that only calms her, it doesn’t not prevent the issue.
Hello, my dog won’t sit/lay down for longer than 2 minutes. Recently was diagnosed with Arthritis (2 months ago) but was told it wasn’t severe enough yet to require surgery/meds. He’s been acting weird the last couple of hours, its Easter Sunday so vets are closed so is there any medicine we can buy at the store to ease his pain so he can sleep until we can see our vet tomorrow. My standard poodle pup is 9 weeks old, she doesn’t prefer sleeping on her bed and mattress, instead she’d rather sleep and nap on the hard surface floor, I was wondering if this habit is bad for her bones later on? Also, she loves to stand on her rear legs and hump her front legs on the sofa, is it bad for her bone or hip as well? First time dog owner, thanks a lot for your kind response and knowledge. My 9 year old Newfoundland retriever went to the beach with me yesterday and then when we got back she laid down, and was unable to stand up again. She has done this before after a beach day when it’s cold, usually some pain medicine and a heating pad will get her up again. This time she was down from about 7pm at night, until 10 am the next morning when I had to lift her so she could walk outside to relieve herself. I went to the vet at noon, they ran kidney tests. She can’t get up still

Hello, when I was away at work I think my dog must’ve fallen and injured his back left leg. He has trouble walking currently, and often cries out when he tries to lay down. I went to PetSmart and got him 300Mg Aspirin and he was able to walk and lay down for a bit afterwards but I believe he’s in more pain now and I’m not sure if I should give him more. His last dosage was at 6:20pm, and he’s approx 150lbs.
