We recently got an electronic doggie door. While we are training them we have it set to unlocked. Our 50-pound lab mix has pretty much figured it out. However we also have midna the Chiweenie she is scared of the door I think so because we had to buy it says for the bigger dog and every time she considers going through right after Sarah it smacks her in the face. It is light enough for her to push it open if she decides to they both had the same training when we first got it but she refuses
I got a wooden house for the dog, i will put warm blankets on the inside, and her pillow/bed on the inside. The door is plastic three stripes. Can I leave her to sleep and stay at the balcony at night or during the day ? temperature goes down to -5 celsius
Hallo. We have a dog door that is always open. During the day my dog goes outside to do his business, but at night he wakes me up and I have to walk with him. Is it possible to teach him to go by himself. If so how?
Ok so I have an issue. Its getting cold here and we are looking at some very heavy snow this year. All three of our dogs are rather thin coated. The older two refuse to potty outside if its too cold. Would sweaters help? Also the youngest is less than two pounds (tiny chihuahua mix) and even though he's not allowed outside yet we like 2 to 4 inches above our floor tend to get cold no matter what temperature we keep the house at how can I help him stay warm?
Hello. Not sure if this is appropriate question to ask, but perhaps you can help. I keep my cat indoors before sundown all night till sunrise. He goes to the bathroom outside. Last few days I noticed muddy prints on his cat door in the morning. Pics included. Cat flap is in storm door. I slide locking panel in & of course close inside door. Do you have any idea who this is? We have squirrels, but I have not seen any possum or racoons. What to do? I keep 2 water bowls in yard 24/7.
Hi, i have a beautiful dog part american bulldog and australian shepard. 3 months and 2 weeks old 26 pounds. I wanted to know if it was safe for him to sleep outside my backyard. I have a dog house with enough room for him to sleep warm and dry beside my house. He is up to date on his shots incohdig heart worm. Weather in houston tx is around 55-70. I just want to make sure if he would be okay sleeping outside in his dog house permentaly cause he getting to big for doggy door .
for a russian dwarf hamster, 7 weeks old, Dimensions: 13.500 inches H x 20.125 inches W x 33.000 inches L, is this enough ventilation? the holes are at the top of the container, 4"x24"
Hello, I would like to ask two quick questions about my dog and the cold weather please. My dog is a mixed breed ( Caucasian Shepherd and Labrador). He spends most of his time outside. Below what temperature should he be left inside the house? Also, is it bad for his health if he comes in and out of the house often? ( as in he spends a few hours at 77 degrees then a few hours at 10 degrees). Will this fluctuation of temperature hurt him? Thank you so much!
We are housebound due to heavy snow in Virginia. My newly adoted dog will NOT go outside. She is a bulldog mix and the snow is deeper than she is tall. We have put pee pads down, even though she has never used the bathroom indoors (we brought her home Oct 23rd). What can we do tonight and tomorrow to help her go without being afraid of scolding or punishment?
Our recently adopted dog refuses to come back inside after taking him outside to go to the bathroom. It's like he's afraid to come through the door. He will stand at the door, act really nervous and whine. At first we were able to coax him in using treats, but not anymore. He's not leash trained and digs in when I try to lead him inside. I have had to pick him up and carry him inside, but now he knows to run away from me now. I'm afraid to let him out. How can help him get past this behavior?
We have adopted our daughter's dog. She is a small breed mix. She has had at least one traumatic experience in which she was taken and dropped off on a rural road. There were storms during the three days it took to find her. She is very scared during stormy weather. Our problem with her is sometimes when left alone for several hours or a day, she will scratch at the door as if trying to dig her way out. She has destroyed the carpet near the door and the brand new linoleum we put in place.
Need help getting my cat to stop yowling at night to go out so we can sleep as usual. He's 13, neutered, always been in/out cat, just wanted weather makes him more restless! Calming collar doesn't work & can't afford pheromone diffuser. Please help ASAP
