I left Wednesday and came back Sunday and Dwarf frog, mystery snail, guppy, zebra fish and two ghost shrimp all survived. Would only recommend with filtered tank. Tank will need a good cleaning after as well.

Is this ok for glo-fish? We have 4 in a 5 gallon tank and leaving for the weekend?

  1. Yes hun all my fish like it from tetras to guppies to even my big goldfish i would throw in 2 pieces for a couple days of being gone and if you get back and urs still visible to eye dobt worry about feeding for a couple days, fish will not starve

Is this product ok for salt water fish?

My daughter is away at college but will be coming home every few weekends (1 hour away). She has a Betta. Will the Stars be okay for that?

    1. I was going on vacation so I bought this. I decided to try it out before I left. Got up next morning to very cloudy water and 4 dead fish. I will never use again.

Can this feeder be used for gold fish?

    1. I wouldn't. I have a betta and tetras and as most people know, they are carnivores. You should find one that is specifically made for goldfish. By the way if you have a snail in your tank don't use this! My snail died but my fish were fine.
