Very heavy pressboard. Hard for one person to lift or carry it alone. Instructions tell you not to use a drill on it. So, when the holes for the top hatches turn out to be in the wrong places (screen) or non-existent (hide): I was stuck. Purchased online but they wanted me to haul it into a store. No. rying to resolve now, have a credit card dispute in.

I was skeptical to buying this based on the low number of review. One review said it came damaged. I was not disappointed at the packaging as it came in perfect condition and very fast. I needed a large stand for my bearded dragon and this was the only one i can find to fit a 48x24 terrarium. The assembly was very easy and took about 1 hour and a half without help. Instructions are very simple and the finished product came out great. It was very sturdy. There is also lots of storage space on the bottom. The only thing i would recommend for the manufacturers is to include optional shelfs for the storage on the bottom. I solved it by just putting shelfs and containers in myself. Overall highly recommend!

I was disappointed due to all the chips and scratches on the finish when it arrived. It happened in the packing as the chipped edges were inside after we unpacked it to assemble. So it is too late to return at that point. I looked for months to find a suitable stand to display in my livingroom for "Speedy" and finally when it came it was kinda beat up and not really very nice to display.
