Will this fit on a 20 gallon long tank?

I'm considering getting one of these. Does it have to be mounted on one side of a tank? Or can it go over the middle of a tank?
Will the Zoo Med dual lamp fit on top of the metal grate? If not can I hang that lamp above it or would plastic melt?
- Thank you for your question. The Turtle-Topper is designed to be used with any clamp style lamp. There are places built into the lid where lamps can be attached on 2 sides of the metal grate.

Hi I recently bought this for my hatchling red eared sliders and when they try to get back in the water they tend to fall from the side where the ramp is. Is this usual? Think they may be afraid to go up there now.
- The ramp is slippery so you may need to add something for them to hold onto as they go up this should help.

i recently added this to my tank however the ramp doesnt touch the water and if i add more water then my filter will be over the max line. do you make anything to extend the ramp longer?
- I just installed it today, and yes ramp is not long enough. I am brainstorming a way to add length to the ramp, as well as give it some texture since my turtle dive-bombed off of it and crashed into the bottom of my tank. I was thinking of maybe affixing his old floating island to the bottom of the ramp so that when he steps on it, it sinks into the water???

- you could most likely use egg crate with something on top or just plane egg crate.
