i have a question, we recently got glofish as a gift to my mother. I bought the water conditioner, food, plants and a volcano to decorate the tank, its a 5 gallon tank so they would have alot of room to swim. But all 5 fish, just stay at the bottom of the tank, occasional moving, not to full out swimming. the swim a bit for a few seconds and hide again under the plants or filter pump, in the back of the tank. I want to know is that normal?
I have 3 painted turtles that were recused from being throw out on a frozen pond Jan 2017 I got a 75 gallon tank and though every one would be happy- One is as big as open hand the other are the size of my fist -One of the smaller ones latched on the the bigger one and I had a had time getting her loose- all girls-were they fighting?

first of all, thanks for your advice with my african dwarf frogs! after the aquarium salt bath they are doing great and even look more vibrant now! i was wanting to know what substrate would be best in the tank. would sand be okay or would they eat that like the gravel? i have a heavily planted aquarium and need something to keep the plants in place but i dont want my frogs to eat it and have something happen to them. i find conflicting information when i research it online. thanks!
