Capone has had chronic pancreatitis for 2 years started on prescription food but did not do well. I home cook for him combinations of oatmeal blueberries skinless chicken breast beef liver lean hamburger meat broccoli cauliflower sweet potatos squash chicken broth Etc in 5 small meals per day equal to the intake for a dog his size but because of the low fat content he continues to lose weight. is there a whey protein or something I can safely add to his food to help him gain weight back?

Are these steps true about making your own recovery food (DIY Critical Care) Pour Warm Water or chamomile tea over a 1/4 cup of pellets in a bowl Allow to sit for about 5 mins, letting the pellets fluff Add additional water or tea and mix well to make a pudding like slurry.
Hi! Recently my vet diagnosed my puppy with insufficient pancreatic enzyme secretion and for that reason a high level of fat in the food is bad for him, but he told me that in general, this issue It resolves itself once he will adult. Now he eats puppy food and I give to him pancreatic enzyme twice a day. The dose is 200 mg of pancreatin (400 mg/day). I asked the vet exactly the dose and he doesn't know. How many mg I have to give to him per day? Thank you very much.
My dog has acute pancreatitis.. She weighs 105lbs and had been on medication since Thursday. Currently I'm only feeding her 12 tablespoons a day of the prescription dog food but that seems really little for a dog her size

I have dog that was just diagnosed with Pancreatitis. Are there any special foods I can give him that fits in with his new low fat diet that can also help him gain weight?
Hello, I need help on finding the best homemade dog food recipe/ full supplement for a dog with a history of acute pancreatitis. For the past month my dog has been on a home cooked diet consisting of (lean ground beef, rice, nonfat cottage cheese, pumpkin squash, broccoli) he hasn’t had any recurring issues. I found a multivitamin called (GNC pets multivitamin plus). Is this a good product should I add salmon oil for extra omega 3 and should I add anything to his food such as chicken liver?
My dog is a 14 years old Chinese crested. He has been diagnosed with beginning kidney failure and episodic pancreatitis. He is on 100% human food (lean protein-rice-veggies) He is doing really good but extremely skinny- his bones show. The thing that has me perplexes me is that he Eats 1 cup of food in the morning and 1 cup at night. He weighs only 8 pounds. At his healthiest- as a young dog he Was 12 pounds. I’m afraid his organs will stop if I can’t get him to gain some weight.
can i give my yorkie herbal gastrointestional supplement from Honest Kitchen to aid with pancreatitis? or what kind of supplement can I give her to help? (digestion supplements?)
