Angel, 14 year old + my cat, hAs been diagnosed with pancreatitis. Rx budnesodide and ondansatron. Still losing weight, vomiting some, good appetite, loose smelly stools. Please tell me about digestive enzyme product.
Capone has had chronic pancreatitis for 2 years started on prescription food but did not do well. I home cook for him combinations of oatmeal blueberries skinless chicken breast beef liver lean hamburger meat broccoli cauliflower sweet potatos squash chicken broth Etc in 5 small meals per day equal to the intake for a dog his size but because of the low fat content he continues to lose weight. is there a whey protein or something I can safely add to his food to help him gain weight back?

My dog currently has pancreatitis along with heart disease. Trying to feed him low fat food but what exactly happens during pancreatitis? Does food not get digested properly? Should I be giving him a multivitamin that includes digestive enzymes like amilayse and lipase? Or would that hurt his pancreas since the lipase enzyme levels were already high on his blood test??
Ghe has small loose stools about the size of a quarter. We never tested her for cushings but a vet told us, 4 yrs ago, she might have it. We give her cushing drops. What can I do to thicken up her stools
Good Morning, I have a questions regarding my golden retriever. She's 4 years old & on Wednesday night she got a hold of a pound of cooked bacon. I gave her peroxide to induce vomiting, she vomited twice after 20 mins. NPO that night just in case. Started her on 1 tablet 30 mins prior to feeding of Omerazole 20mg. Started Hills i/d digestive care low fat on thursday. been good since now saturday afternoon vomited once & this morning as well. could it be pancreatitis starting?
Our chihuahua mix is approximately 16 years old. He was diagnosed with pancreatitis about 4 years ago. For the last month he will have mucous and bloody diarrhea..so we give him boiled chicken and white rice for a few days which will constipate him. We introduce his regular food (WD-can) back in and he may have one normal bm then it goes right back to bloody diarrhea. He has lost one pound. He does drink water with his food.He takes 1/2 tramadol daily. Should we be doing anything different ?

My dog is a 14 years old Chinese crested. He has been diagnosed with beginning kidney failure and episodic pancreatitis. He is on 100% human food (lean protein-rice-veggies) He is doing really good but extremely skinny- his bones show. The thing that has me perplexes me is that he Eats 1 cup of food in the morning and 1 cup at night. He weighs only 8 pounds. At his healthiest- as a young dog he Was 12 pounds. I’m afraid his organs will stop if I can’t get him to gain some weight.
