Wearing latex gloves while handling amphibians will not only protect you from salmonella and other potential toxins secreted by the amphibian, it also protects the amphibian from any oils, salts, lotions, or perfumes on your hand. Gloves should be worn every time you handle your pet amphibian. Washing your hands before and after will also help prevent the potential to spread diseases such as salmonella, of which all amphibians are potential carriers.

Hi. I was wondering, what species of frog is roughly 2 inches in length, light green and has large feet and how much do i have to feed it?
My frog is not eating since I bought it 2 days ago, it stays sticked to the tank's glass most of the time, it's skin color is dark green. I gave it a cricket and a worm.
When I bought my white tree frog from Petsmart it had what looks like an old scar on his leg (see attached picture). So far he has been acting as normal as my other white tree frog, other than being a little shy and better at hiding. I've had him for over a week now, should I warrant concern? (And what is something I can do if there is.)
Hi, i have an emergency, I have a chubby frog, (Asian painted bullfrog) He used to have a HUGE appetite and ate so much all the time, and starting a month in a half ago his appetite decreased significantly and by 1 month ago he completely stopped eating i tried EVERYTHING, I read oh it may be tempature, and his environment is quite cold, so I decided to move him to a warm environment and he froze up got stiff and looked horrible. So today I force fed him calcium powder & water. What can I do???
patternless leopard gecko body compulsion waves contracting and growling
We just tranferred Joey from a 40 Gallon Tank to a new 90+ Gallon Terrain... He seemed to be pretty happy till today. We noticed right before we changed tanks that he had some dark coloration on his left side and tip of his tail.. He was shedding at the time so we figured it was part of it.. It has yet to go away, and today he seems VERY active, mostly attempting to climb the glass of the tank. I have attached a photo, Thank You in advance! ~Robert~
I've had my Ball Python, Cerberus, for about 3 weeks now. I feed him a frozen rat a couple days after i got him but since then he is refusing to eat. I have no idea why and being a new snake owner it spooks me. Advice would me much appreciated
My African dwarf frog has a tumor. Should I take her to the vet or just leave it? She is not affected by it at all.
Is this a good setup for Nighthawk, the first photo is the over all setup, the second one is the side view and the third is the water and calcium dishes. I use an under tank heater that stays at about 88 degrees Fahrenheit and the vines are fake. He has a warm hide and a cold hide with moss in it that’s i spray down every other day. The little box is another little hide that I can see him in. And the background is tile it paper rolls that were painted(they were left to dry for two weeks)
I gave my adult leopard gecko (female) a large horned worm (size of a pointer finger) as somebody I know told me any size will do, since they’re mostly water. She struggled to get the worm down, and its head was visible in her mouth for a short while. Her abdomen appears “full” and the color of the bright blue worm is showing through her abdomen and neck. She’s stretching her body out and swallowing/licking non stop. Other than that, she appears normal. Should I be worried, or?
I'm going to buy my first ball python what are healthy signs of a python?
I no this might be stupid to ask but from the photos attached can you please help me by telling me what killed my 8year old bearded dragon half a hour before pitchers was running about in her tank eating 5th hopper small tube only 2 and then went and mad a coffee and come back and found her lifelis with what looks like her head squashed down over her eyes or her eyes sunking in to her skull Your's Sincerely JAMIE MURDOCK
